Summary
Based on the Algonquian Mythology, the Wendigo was introduced in Marvel Comics by Steve Englehart and Herb Trimpe on Incredible Hulk #162 as the manifestation of a curse laid by the Elder Gods of Canada, which condemns any person who commits cannibalism on Canadian land to be a big, white hairy beast, hungry for human flesh for the whole eternity.
Although they normally act alone, there are pack of wendigos living in the Canadian woods.
