After a little bit of research, I found a way to accurately calc this

The Feat[]

Thor tanking the neutron star in Infinity War. Recalc of Numbers's calc

The Calc[]

The surface area of the explosion has already been calculated for us. It'd be 49.53928m².

Considering the fact the explosion was channeled while Thor pressed his arms against the sides of the ring, the distance from the explosion would be Thor's arm length, which is 44% of his body length. Chris Hemsworth is 1.9m tall, so we get 0.836m.

We now need the area of Chris Hemsworth's cross section.

  • Chris's surface area = 0.20247*1.9^0.725*100^0.425 = 2.28274312539m²

The area of the cross section is generously about 40% of the body's surface area, so for Chris it would be ~1.1413715627m²

We need the charge's intensity. For that, we will need to calculate the average energy emitted by the average neutron star. For that, we will need the temperature of the average neutron star.

The temperature of any given star, including a neutron star, is determined by using Wien's displacement law, which states that the wavelength is equal to the displacement constant (a value equal to 2900 micrometers per Kelvin, or about 2.897 7729(17)e-13 meters per Kelvin) divided by the temperature. So, in order to get the temperature, we need to do a quadratic equation; we divide the wavelength by the Wien constant.

The maximum wavelength of a neutron star is 2.9 nanometers, or 0.0029 micrometers. The constant, as I said above, is 2900 micrometers per Kelvin.

  • Tk = 2900Mm/0.0029 = 1,000,000 kelvins
  • Stellar luminosity = (o*t^4)*(4*pi*r^2)

Where O is the Stefan Boltzmann constant, which is equal to 5.67e-8, and t is the temperature

  • (5.67e-8*1000000^4)*(4*pi*10000^2) = 7.1251321e+25 watts
  • Intensity = 17029474426386234 / 49.539 = 3.4375895e+14 tons of TNT per m^2
  • Durability = Intensity*Cross Section = 3.9235669e+14 tons of TNT, or 392.35669 teratons (Large Country level)
