Introduction[]

In RWBY, the team faces off against Cordovin, who's in a giant Mech.

I'll be calculating the Kinetic Energy of the Colossus Mech that Cordovin pilots. This took me a lot longer than I expected, so I hope I did this correctly.

Note: I didn't measure the cannon since it was cut off by this point.

Hollowness = 535.307473557 - 50% = 267.653736778 m^3

True Volume = 4098.47465269 + 307.390243342 + 188.272447853 + 267.653736778 = 4861.79108066 m^3

Steel is 8050 kg per m^3

Weight = 4861.79108066 x 8050 = 39137418.1993 kg (Class M)

Okay that was fun, now let's find it's speed.

Scan 3-4

Mech Window = 1.53261904762 m (10 px)

Distance = 23.1425476191 m (151 px)

The video runs at 25 frames per second, I counted to make sure of that. The Mech was able to cross that distance in one frame.

Timeframe = 1/25 = 0.04 seconds

Speed = 23.1425476191/0.04 = 578.563690478 m/s

KE = 6550350312149 J or 1.56 Kilotons (Small Town level)
