This blog is meant to host some translations from Japanese to English of several statements across the Street Fighter series, which are useful to clear some misconceptions or to solidify something already established.
All of these translations have been made by Qliphoth Bacikal.
Charlie Nash and the Psycho Drive[]
In Street Fighter Alpha 3, Charlie Nash states that M. Bison will destroy "the capital", which would specifically be Bangkok, as the Psycho Drive is located in Thailand.
Although, it was proven to be a translation choice by Capcom USA.
春麗! 聞こえるか! こちらナッシュ!
Chun Li! Do you hear me! It's Nash!
どうやら...最悪の事態になっちまったようだ
I fear...that the worst is about to happen.
ヤツはサイコパワーで大都市を消し去るつもりだ...
He's planning to wipe out a major city with his Psycho Powers...
俺はなんとかヤツを追う...
I'm going after him...
君は地下基地に潜入してヤツを止める手段を探してくれっ!
You're going to have to infiltrate the underground base and find a way to stop him!
Since Capcom didn't originally intend to point to the capital, using Bangkok as the model for the city M. Bison destroyed in his alternate ending isn't that safe anymore, and has to be taken with a grain of salt. However, this doesn't create any inconsistency, and Bangkok remains the best city to choose among all the possible ones.
Rose and the Psycho Power[]
In Street Fighter Alpha 2 Rose claims of having sealed off M. Bison's Psycho Power, which is consistent with what she originally says.

「確かにベガを倒し、サイコパワーを封じたはず...
「なのに...このぬぐい切れない不安は、何なのかしら...?」
"...That time..."
"I'm sure I defeated Vega, and sealed off (封じた) his Psycho Power..."
"Yet why can I not shake off this ominous feeling...?"
Charlie Nash and M. Bison[]
In Street Fighter V, Charlie's victory over M. Bison in Street Fighter Alpha 2 has been subject to a retcon. The most prominent evidence is C. Viper's statement about M. Bison's power having grown beyond Charlie's imagination.
This is consistent in the Japanese version.
I guess he didn't know that Vega's power had reached a scale far beyond his imagination.
Psycho Power being empowered by negative emotions[]
In Street Fighter Alpha 3 M. Bison revealed that his power grows the more his opponent hates him.
This is confirmed by the Japanese version, which also adds fear to the emotions that gives him more power.
すべては我がサイコパワーのため...負の感情こそその原!
おまえたちが憎み恐れるほどにこのベガは無限の力を得るのだ!
It was all for the sake of my Psycho Power...its source is that of negative emotions!
The more you hate and fear me, the more infinite power this Vega will obtain!
Necalli's miasma[]
This specific translation is provided by BlackDarkness679 and confirmed by Qliphoth Bacikal.
Necalli's character guide on the Shadaloo C.R.I. explains the unique properties of the miasma he gives off.
This is consistent with the Japanese version.
触れた者の精神を汚染する瘴気が、 常にネカリの周囲に展開されている。 ※ネカリが意識的に展開しているわけではない。 精神を汚染された者は、 ネカリと同様に強き者の魂を狙って暴れるようになる。
The Shun Goku Satsu[]
In Street Fighter Alpha 3 Akuma explains the mechanics and the effects of the Shun Goku Satsu, also known as Raging Demon, which ultimately kills the opponent's soul.
However, this is different in Japanese, as it doesn't make any reference to it destroying the soul. What remains consistent, is the victim being killed by the weight of their own sins, rather than by Akuma's fist.
瞬獄、すなわち数多の瞬きに、地獄をかいま見る....
The Shun Goku...in numerous blinks of the eye, you have witness hell...
拳にならず、己が罪業の重みで自らを殺める技...
It is not by my fist, but the weight of your own sins that killed you...
悪鬼ほど、苦難の中で死す...哀れよ...
The eviler you are, the more you suffer in death...what a pity...
拳士が骸の峰を築くは己の死期を逸すると同義...
A fighter who builds atop corpses is the same as overlooking one's own end...
...フッフッフッ...拳を極めるも、また同じことよ!
...Hohoho...juts like mastering one's own fist!
互いに己が骸を拳に映して闘うこれ「死合う」と謂う也...!
To fight one another with the fists projected from our corpses is what is called "a fight to the death"...!
