Introduction []
Hello. Today I will be writing a blogpost regarding one of the most controversial episodes of Spongebob Squarepants, Atlantis Squarepantis. Particularly a brief statement made that has massive implications.
So Spongebob and the gang travel to this paradise-like lost city of Atlantis. There Spongebob and Patrick encounter a bubble with Type 1 Immortality (not kidding) This bubble will supposedly never get old and will only pop due to outside forces. Making this anamoly the underwater utopia's most beloved treasure.
As Atlantis's current monach is touring the two goofballs, he reveals some quite interesting lore involving the bubble's origin.

This would mean that these aliens travelled a distance of tens of thousands of galaxies for the sole purpose of keeping this bubble for some reason.
Sadly we are never given an exact timeframe for this. However we do have ourselves a bare minumum. Within this quote Lord Royal Highness states the bubble is a million years old.
So for the lowest ball possible I will be assuming the Atlanteans decided to carry this bubble the instant it was conceived and that their colonization of Earth conveniently started at that exact same time. Obviously these assumptions aren't that likely, though they serve as a good minimum. I'll be giving other assumed timeframes as well.
Since His Royal Highness stated billions in plural, I will be lowballing the distance to be 2 billion lightyears at least.
Results[]
Since the timeframe is unknown (but the act of carrying this bubble was treated as a pretty grueling journey), I'll be assuming rather long timeframes to try and be as conservative as possible
- Lowest End Possible (1 million years): 2000 x FTL
- Low End (100,000 years):' 20,000 x FTL
- Mid End (10,000 years): 200,000 x FTL
- High End (1000 years): 2,000,000 x FTL
- Super High End (1 year): 2,000,000,000 x FTL
What's especially impressive is that when this feat is stated, the visual depiction is that of the Atlanteans walking and the winged members of their species flying. Meaning this wasn't through high tech vehicles or anything rather their own physical speed.
What this Means?[]
Sadly I do not believe this scales to anyone. For the following reasons:
- This is assuming LRH's story can even be taken seriously in the first place. And isn't just some fable or myth.
- The Atlanteans' who performed this feat are long dead, and nothing indicates the current generation from eons later are comparable to them.
- Again it was only the ancient Atlanteans that presumably did this. Not the ones Spongebob and the gang fought.
Honestly this calculation was more so for fun. And also because I find it amazing that Spongebob Squarepants has a statement of such ludicrous results. I mean the fact that there's even a small chance that Spongebob has characters that can effortlessly blitz DBZ, OPM, HST and Toriko makes me happy lol
