  • Duna's movement = 27.46px = .3324m
  • Lightning movement = 198px = 2.3965m
  • Movement = 1px = 0.0121035m (0.0121035m/px)

Since this lightning bolt comes directly from the sky, this is cloud-to-ground lightning most likely.

Also, the lightning took about 1 frame to cover 198px. 198px = 440000m/s

What I will be doing in all these calculations is compare how much distance each character covers per frame, and compare it to the distance that the lightning covers per frame.

Duna's Speed = (27.46px/198px)*(440,000m/s) = 61022.22m/s, or Mach 179.33

Continuing from the calculation above...

  • Duna's movement = 27.46px = 0.3324m
  • Lightning movement = 198px = 2.3965m
  • Chartette's movement = 42px = 0.5084m

So Chartette moved about 0.5084m in this scene. Now for the timeframe of lightning.

  • Timeframe = [2.3965m]/[440000m/s] = 5.4466e-6 seconds
  • Chartette's speed = [0.5084m]/[5.4466e-6 seconds] = ~93353m/s, or Mach 274.33
