Why the recalc?[]
As the title suggests, this is a recalc of this calculation, based on recent changes to the size of the universe in dragon ball
Change 1: The map is really bad[]
As concluded in this thread the macrocosm map is contradictory to everything size wise in the series, being as such decided to not be usable to calc anything whatsoever, therefore the current calculations about the size of universe 7 and the calc of the speed of the feat can't use it at all
Change 2: The dead have a huge home[]
As concluded here the afterlife is a really big structure, having a radius of 9.668 × 10^32 m, therefore obvious recalcs will be needed to take that into account
As concluded here, the above information is not accepted anymore for the main canon, as concluded here the afterlife will be a "possibly" universal in size
Finding the values:[]
The accepted time frame for the explosion is 30 seconds
for covering the living universe i will use the baseline of universe size in this wiki, aka 8.8e+26 m in diameter
Afterlife is possibly 4.4e+26 m in radius and 8.8e+26 m in diameter
The Kaioshin realm is 1/10 of both of them combined, so 8.8e+25 m diameter and 4.4e+25 m radius, possibly 1.76e+26 m diameter and 8.8e+25 m radius
Explaining the methods[]
We know that Earth is on the edge of the living universe, and since the explosion feat happened from there i will use the full diameter of 88 × 10^26 m
Since the realms are accepted as separated space times, to say that the blast of the explosion physically traveled there as the current calculation suggested doesn't work, as physical travel between separated space times is not possible under our standards, only being possible via dimensional travel, since this would make the blast go to there in a multitude of different position, i will do a low ball and a high ball, this first method will assume that the blast would dimensional travel to the center of the realms and expand from there to destroy it, and the second will assume that it would start at the edge of said realms
so for method 1 i will use the radius of the realms and for method 2 i will use the diameter
the time frame is of 30 seconds as accepted in the earlier calc
I personally prefer method 1 since it is the safest option since it feels to arbitrary to assume that the blast spawned in one of the extreme edges instead of literally anywhere else in the space of the realms
Method 1: Radius[]
Putting all the distances together:
8.8e+26 m + 8.8e+25 m = 9.68e+26 m
possibly 8.8e+26 m + 4.4e+26 m + 4.4e+25 m = 1.364e+27 m
calcing the speed of it:
9.68e+26 m / 30s = 3.2266667e+25 m/s = 1.0763E+17 c or 107.63 Quadrillion times ftl
possibly 1.3244e+28 m / 30s = 4.414666666666667e+26 m/s = 1.4726E+18 c or 1.4726 quintillion times ftl
Method 2: Diameter[]
Putting all the distances together:
88 × 10^26 m + 1.9336 × 10^33 m + 1.9336088 × 10^32 m = 2.12696968 × 10^33 m
calcing the speed of it:
2.12696968 × 10^33 m / 30s= 7.089898933333333 × 10^31 m/s = 2.3649E+23 c or 236.490 sextilion times ftl
as i said above, i think that the first method is more likely due to all the possible places for the blast to spawn, being closer to the center instead of the extremes of the realms seens more likely
Final tally[]
Method 1 = 118.25 sextillion c
Method 1 recalc = 107.63 Quadrillion c, possibly 1.4726 Quintillion c (accepted)
Method 2 = 236.49 sextilion c
this scales to goku in BOG since he kept up with a supresed beerus who reacted to the blast to null it before it could expand
