Reddit did the math, not me.

BUT, I decided to repost the calc anyway so we can fix it or check it.

Here it is btw

Strelexia vs Klaxosaur

Original post[]

tl;dr: Me and some other guys /r/theydidthemath 'd a Strelizia lifting feat over a 6 hour period and figured out this.

2/7 Note: I came through on my promise and also did an investigation into 02's physical capabilities as well, check it out here! So, let's get right down to it. Today I wanted to figure out how strong Strelizia from Darling in the Franxx was when she lifted a giant Klaxosaur worm out of the ground. I enlisted the help of some amazing people and together we figured out the estimated weight of the worm (and hence the amount of force Strelizia would've had to lift it). So without further ado, let's get into explaining how we figured it out. Note: These calculations aren't perfect and are the best estimate we could give after a long, long period of working. Bear with us here. So let's start things off by going over what we need:

Strelizia's Height[]

The length of one of the worm's segments (or portions). The width of one of the worm's segments (or portions). The total height of the worm . The total length of the worm.  The total volume of the worm and (with estimates from there) the mass (weight) of the worm.

Let's start with Strelizia's height.

Starting things off we see here that the door leading into Strelizia's cockpit is around large enough to accommodate Zero Two . Now that we have the door we can compare it relative to THIS image of the door which also shows Strelizia's mask. If we're to assume that the height of the door is two meters then the height of the overall mask is around 4 meters. With the mask's length at 4 meters the next step is to compare the mask with the rest of Strelizia this image . Without going into too much detail the length of the mask in the image is 24 pixels while all of Strelizia is 554 pixels. This means that the mask (which is 4 meters tall) is 1/23rd the total size of Strelizia and therefore Strelizia's overall size is 4 * 23 = 92 meters tall.

So Strelizia is 92 meters tall, more or less.

Now we need the length and width of the worm.

Another thing[]

They also calculated the strength of that thing being flung around, but in newstons.

Here is the fight if anyone wants to calculate it

I attempt to fix the last bit of the calc (Attempt 2)[]

Ok. Antonio said that the scaling of the worm is %&/(), so he told me to pixel scale it myself... by the love of god you are one stubborn person.

Using the cropped images done by the guy because it is never fully shown on-screen,

STRELIZIA VS KLAXOSAUR

Ok. Strelizia (Who is 92 meters tall) is 55 pixels tall there while the worm is 655 pixels long. Making the worm 3013 meters long, aka 3.013 kilometers.

First, the "thing from side to side" is not radius, it's diameter. You need to devide this value by 2.  So 92/2=46 m. Now you can find the volume using the worm as a cylinder. So V=π*46^2*3013=20029249 m^3. And now we can finaly find its mass using the dencity of metal. 20029249*7800= 156228142200 kg or 156,228,142.200 tons
