Udl came to me about a calc he did that'd bump D&D low-tiers to 9-A. I recalced it and still got a slight upgrade in AP for the 9-Bs of the verse, but no 9-A rating.
Basically with concentration this thing can cause lead to spontaneously melt.
Calc[]
First problem is that it states it covers a two foot square. We'll assume relatively low thickness comparatively of a mere 4 cm (about two inches) since it does go beneath surface damage to an unknown extent.
V = 60.96^2 * 4 = 14864.49 cm^3
Density of Lead = 11340 kg/m^3
Mass = 168.56 kg
Melting Point of Lead = 327.5 C (average temp is 15 C, so temperature shift is 312.5 C)
To do this fully we need to find the Heat of Fusion of Lead in J/kg. Let's begin.
Heat of Fusion of Lead is 4799 J/mol. Molar mass of lead is 207.2 g/mol, ergo this is 4799 J/207.2 g, or 23.16 J/g. Multiply by a thousand to get the following:
Latent Heat (Fusion) of Lead = 23161.2 J/kg
Specific Heat = 125.604 J/(kg*K) (very close to that of gold)
Energy from Specific Heat = 6.616e6 Joules
Energy from Fusion = 3.904e6 Joules
Energy Total = 1.052e7 Joules, Wall level+
Slight upgrade. Still 9-B.
