The problem here is that the feat is jumping between mountains. Not over them. And I can't exactly Google "distance between mountains in the Kanto region of Japan" and expect an answer.
However, Google Maps can provide one. By searching around I was able to find two fairly close mountains. Mt. Nokogiri and Mt. Sukai, which are 1.33 km away from each other. With that in mind the rest of the calc just needs to make use of this. A 45 degree angle would be most efficient, and to get that Golem would need a range of 1330 m and a height of 332.5 m.
That gives him a velocity of 114.17 m/s. Getting KE from that...
KE = (0.5)(m)(v^2) = (0.5)(300)(114.17…
