600px-SR-item-Auriel's Bow
The bow was said to be carried by Auri-El himself into battle against the forces of Lorkhan in ancient and mythic times. Its craftsmanship has no equal anywhere within Tamriel and possibly beyond.
~ Knight-Paladin Gelebor

Summary[]

The Auriel's Bow is an artifact used by the elven god Auriel, an aspect of the Imperial Akatosh, the Dragon God of Time. Although it takes the form of a modest elven moonstone bow, it is one of the most powerful weapons on Tamriel. The bow draws its power from Aetherius itself, channeling it through the sun. It has the ability to turn any arrow into a "missile of death", although its enchantment effects vary: it has been known to cause a magical fire or shock damage, drain an opponent's stamina and Magicka reserves, or harness the power of the sun. It can also make the wielder immune to lesser attacks, and is especially devastating when used against the undead.

Occasionally it can be seemingly unenchanted. Without Auriel's power behind it, however, the bow uses its own store of energy for its power. Once exhausted of this energy, the bow will vanish, abandoning its owner to reappear elsewhere. Because of its link to Auriel, the bow can manipulate the sun in various ways. It was involved in a prophecy recorded in the Elder Scrolls, which foretold that the bow would be used to block out the sun. It purportedly smells like ash yams, a vegetable native to Morrowind.

History says that in the Dawn Era, the bow was created by Anuiel for use by Auriel against the forces of Lorkhan during the Ehlnofey wars. When Trinimac defeated Lorkhan and tore out his heart, Auriel fastened it to an arrow and shot it long into the sea, where Red Mountain eventually formed.

It channels power directly from Aetherius.), Resistance Negation/Power Nullification (It can pierce through the infinite distance of Oblivion and Mundus to reach Aetherius. In the process, it defies the conceptual barriers of limitless amount of deities in those realms along the way. Additionally, the Tyranny of the Sun prophecy sees that it can nullify the powers of Magnus and Magna Ge upon Mundus), Dimensional Travel (The projectile, empowered by the artifact, can cross through any dimension or realm), Corruption (If the projectile is imbued with the Blood of a Daughter of Coldharbour, the artifact can indefinitely corrupt the Aetherial presence on Mundus. This action visually makes the Sun appears red as blood), Cosmic Awareness (The artifact, as a bodily representation of Auriel, should have an independent will and awareness of a cosmic entity),  Higher-Dimensional Existence (The artifact, as a bodily representation of Auriel, has a true form beyond comparison of any mortals. Its appearance as a bow is deceiving, not its true form), Law Manipulation/Conceptual Manipulation (Described by Yagrum Bagarn, any artifact of godlike beings is an extension of their essence. Their essence is fully imbued with concepts of their own choosing)

Attack Potency: Multi-Continent level (Comparable to, if not entirely superior to the Dovahkiin's usage of Storm Call on the Throat of the Worldin its ability to call out a Sun Burst from Aetherius. Additionally, The Dovahkiin uses the Bow's fractional power of channeling a projectile is enough to break the indestructible shield of Lord Harkon, who supposedly stay equal with Dovahkiin's experience with full shout might of Greybeards| Low Complex Multiverse (According to Arch-curate Vyrthyr, the Auriel's Bow with the blood of a Daughter of Coldharbour can indefinitely shut down the presence of Auriel as well as Magna Ges through blocking the entrance of Magicka from Aetherius upon Mundus. Additionally, Auriel's Bow has the true potential of drawing Aetherius power which it should be similar to the above prophecy) | High Hyperverse level (As an Et'Ada, Auriel; helped stabilize the Aurbis and shape it from a state of primordial chaos. Created the concepts of Time and embodies them throughout the Aurbis. He personally uses the Bow to defeat a fellow Et'ada named Lorkhan with the assistance of an another Et'ada named Trinimac. After Lorkhan's demise, Auriel uses the Bow to fashion the Heart of Lorkhan as a projectile to banish it and depower Lorkhan for good)

Speed: Immeasurable (It can penetrate through infinite layers of Mundus and Oblivion to reach Aetherius)

Lifting Strength: Immeasurable

Striking StrengthAt least Multi-Continent level | Low Complex Multiverse level High Hyperverse level

Durability: High Hyperverse level (The artifact scales with the influence of Auriel in his Et'Ada form)

Range: High Hyperversal (The artifact scales with the influence of Auriel in his Et'Ada form)

Key: Normal Wielders | Tyranny of the Sun or The Dovahkiin as the Wielder | Et'Ada's True Power

Weaknesses: The Artifact has a will on its own as every single artifact created by godlike beings in The Elder Scrolls. The Artifact can be turned upon the original user.

Note: Legendary Artifacts, created by godlike beings in Elder Scrolls, have an inconsistent level of powers and functionalities. This means that mortals don't fully manifest the true powers of these artifacts with few notable exceptions. Only creators of these artifacts can fully express their true powers through legendary artifacts. In the case of Tyranny of the Sun prophecy, Arch-curate Vyrthyr, Valerica, Lord Harkon and The Dovahkiin should be able to accomplish the prophecy, not anybody else. This privilege is reserved for those who probably read the Elder Scrolls to obtain the necessary knowledge, while The Dovahkiin has the most complete knowledge of the Bow's full potential after reading three Elder Scrolls. Doubtlessly, the Elder Scrolls are artifacts of divine knowledge beyond the comprehension of the gods, so those obtained the crucial knowledge from the scrolls should have no issue of completing the prophecy or even expanding its full potential.
