My take on Abomasnow's storm with all the mistakes corrected.
The Feat[]
Abomasnow creates a snowstorm that extends from Dendemille Town to Frost Cavern.
The Calc[]
- Kalos = 170px = 480km (1/2 of France)
- Dendemille Town = 5px = 14.1176470588km
- Distance between Frost Cave and the town = 10px = 28km
Sounds more in line with the actual game than 4x New York's metropolitan region. And that's, of course, ignoring that Lumiose is supposed to be equal to Paris in size. Treat this as a high-end.
- Length of the storm = 28km
- Width of the storm = 17km (assuming length to width ratio of 5:8)
- Thickness of the storm = 2.5km
- V = l*w*t = 28*17*2.5 = 1190km³, or 1.19e+12m³
- M = 1.19357e+12kg.
Treating 28km as the storm's diameter, we use 14km for the storm's movement speed, without taking into account the fact that the speed of the storm would be slower in the center than in the edge due to speed distribution. Add double whammy to the high end.
Anyway, t = 5s, so V = 2800m/s.
- 0.5*1.19357e+12*14000^2 = 4.6787944e+18 joules, or High 7-A.
