Useful in determining his key phases for the original Ip Man Trilogy (Ip Man 1-3) and for Ip Man 4.

Personally I think Ip Man's punching speed should not be slower than some punching speed of Hatton

Ip Man 2 - Ip Man breaks some chair

Except... what Ip Man did is actually breaking a chair as if chair legs fall off from the seat.

The vid shown is a stool with 4 legs. Likely made of just white pine.

Cutting a seat leg from a chair at plane cross-section yields 223.3899 joules (Athletic Human level+).

Cutting 4 legs require 223.3899 J * 4 = 893.5596 J (Street level).

Assuming there are actually 12 joints to destroy. That makes it 223.3899 J * 12 = 2680.6788 J (Street level).

Ip Man 3 - Ip Man cracks a thin wall

Wall busting huh? Except it is a thin wall of likely wood fibre boards. And with a width slightly wider than the shoulder width of a grown man.

Low end: It would only need to pulverise a line portion from that wood board to break it.

Thickness of a wood fibre board can be up to... 6 mm or 0.6 cm.

A cut opening... I use 0.225 cm for average saw thickness.

Volume required to break = 7.425 cc

Plugging a violent fragmentation of "general wood" of 18.34 J/cc gives a feat yield of 136.1745 J (Athletic Human level)

I mean... kicking a person across 6 meters takes up ~6866 joules. (Street level)

High end: Assume the contact "length" of the butt occupies 15 cm.

Ip Man 3 - Cheung Tin Chi cracks a table

The table involved should actually look like a small table at a diameter of 75 cm with a glass surface on top of it with a diameter of 85 cm supported by 4 legs.

Again, assume glass thickness of 0.635 cm, we have a volume of glass of pi * (85/2)^2 * 0.635 = 3603.308599 cc

Glass violent fragmentation energy of 1 J/cc means destruction value of that glass surface = 3603.308599 J

The table cracked in half and the 4 legs fell apart.

Cutting 4 legs require 223.3899 J * 4 = 893.5596 J.

For the 75 cm diameter table cracking, volume to crack = 75 * 3 * 0.225 = 50.625 cc

The fist in the video is around 52.39274759 px though.

Yep Drax The Destroyer (Marvel Cinematic Universe) is played by Dave Bautista so the character scales in height.

From picture 2.1, Dave's head-to-ankle height = 198 cm ~= 1322.74226 px in the portrait. His head-to-knee height is 910.7422603 px = 136.3281215 cm
