Credits to Theuser789 and Mephistus for calculating this feat and allowing me to post it here

Anyways, onto the Calc:

Super Sonic flew towards a Nebula in 6 seconds.

The closest Nebula to Earth is the Helix Nebula, which is 655 Light-years away.

Using angsizing, I'll determine how far Sonic is from the nebula:

Green line: 240px

Blue line: 160px

Radius of the nebula is 2.87 light years, diameter would be 5.74 light years

5.74 / 240 = 0.0239166667 light years per pixel

Angsizing formula = 2atan(tan(70deg/2)*[240/160]) = 92.811 degrees

Using Angsize Calculator and plugging in the values gives us a distance of 2.7325 light years from the Nebula

D (distance Sonic traveled) = 655 - 2.7325 light years = 652.2675 light years = 652.2675 * 31,556,926 seconds * 299,792,458 m/s = 6.17079522e+18 m/s

V = D/T = 6.17079522e+18/6 = 1.02846587e+18 m/s = 3.4305928403309 billion times c = Massively FTL+

EDIT:

As pointed out by Rodri "Dante" in this thread, the Nebula isn't fully shown in this scene, meaning that the previous method cannot be used. Furthermore, the Helix Nebula itself is a planetary nebula, which doesn't contain stars in it, contrasting with the starry background of the zone. However, the closet starry Nebula to Earth is the Orion Nebula, which is located 1344 lightyears away from Earth.

Super Sonic flew towards a Nebula in 6 seconds.

Using angsizing, I'll determine how far Sonic is from the nebula. Assuming the average sized star in the nebula is about the size of the sun:

Red line: 160 px

Blue line 240px

Green line (Star) = 15px = 2 * Sun radius = 1,391,400 km

km/px = 1,391,400 / 15 = 92760 km/px

Red line = 22,262,400 km

Blue line = 14,841,600 km

Angsizing formula = 2atan(tan(70deg/2)*[240/160]) = 92.811 degrees

Using Angsizing calculator to solve for distance, it gives us a distance of 10,598,000 km away from the Nebula, or about a billionth of a light-year away from it, which can be considered neglible in comparison between the Earth and the Nebula

D = 1,344 lightyears away from earth = 1,344 * 31,556,926 seconds * 299,792,458 m/s = 1.2714950186351761152e+19 m

V = 1.2714950186351761152e+19 / 6 = 2.119158364391960192e+18 m/s = 7.068751424 billion c or Massively FTL+
