Introduction[]
In Mahou Sensei Negima!, Jack Rakan casually destroys a mountain.
It was already calc here, using the results from ChaosTheory123 on Narutoforums. But there's a corrected version of this calc made by ForTheFun. Here we have a different method of scaling for the distance between the mountain and the tower, using the official height of the tower found in one of Negima's volumes.
Calculations[]
Version 1[]
ForTheFun calculated the total volume of rock destroyed to be 1132648427.19 m^3, or 1.1326484e+15 cm^3. Just as for the previous calc from Therefir, I'm going to use vaporization of rock.
1.1326484e+15*25700 = 2.9109064e+19 Joules = 6.95 Gigatons of TNT
Version 2[]
According to the last comment on ForTheFun's calc blog on NF, the angsizing he used is kinda wrong... Or not. I don't know. Well, since I don't know anything about all this stuff, I'll just copy/paste the comment here.
Panel Height = 159 px, Mountain Width = 172 px
2*atan(172/(159/tan(70/2))) = 74.284741962084 degrees
Size = 1.3089e+3 = 1309 m
Mountain Height = 0.593*1309 = 776 meters
Cone V = PI*(1309/2)^2*776/3 = 348104503 m^3 = 3.481045e+14 cm^3
3.481045e+14*25700 = 8.9462857e+18 Joules = 2.14 Gigatons of TNT
Results[]
- Version 1: 6.95 Gigatons of TNT - Island level
- Version 2: 2.14 Gigatons of TNT - Large Mountain level
