Dragon Ball: Earth's Size

So, Dragon Ball's Earth is vastly different from ours. In fact, its map is completely different from ours, indicating a stark difference between it and ours in everything but name.

As such, I'll be calculating the diameter, mass, and gravitational binding energy via something I was recently shown.

To start, I'll need the distance from the Red Ribbon Army's HQ to Korin's Tower. Luckily, this distance is stated in the series itself. The distance from the Red Ribbon Army's HQ to Korin's Tower is 2300 km.

Red Ribbon HQ to Korin's Tower = 2300 km = 2300000 meters = 26.25 px

2300000 / 26.25 = 87619.04762 meters per px

To be as conservative as possible, the diagonal line across the map will represent the Earth's circumference.

Dragon Ball Earth's Circu…

Fairy Tail: Selene Outspeeds Georg

In chapter 90 of Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest, Selene outspeeds Georg's movement to kill him with one slam of her arms. I'll be calculating her speed.

Note: This is a re-calc of this calc to account for the new standards in place for these kinds of feats.

So, the two most important standards that affect this calc are as follows:

  • You cannot convert a stated speed into an implied timeframe for use in a calc. That means that the previous method of using 0.000000003336 seconds as a reaction time based on a statement of light speed movement is invalid.
  • You can use one step of scaling from a character's stated speed to another character's speed when calculating feats like this. This is important because Georg is superior to all of the Dark Dragon Slayer …

Demon Slayer: Muzan Creates Craters

In chapters 189 and 194 of Demon Slayer, Muzan is shown forming craters from his attacks. I'll be calculating the yield of these from both chapters.

Muzan's Height = 1.79 meters = 166.88 px

1.79 / 166.88 = 0.010726 meters per px

Crater Diameter = 375.68 px = 4.03 meters

Crater Radius = 4.03 / 2 = 2.015 meters

Crater Depth = 50 px = 0.54 meters

Crater Volume = 1.68102 meters^3 = 1681020 cc

Pulverization = 214 Joules/cc

Yield = 1681020 * 214 = 359738280 Joules

Muzan Creates Craters:

  • Chapter 189 = 0.08 tons; Small Building level (9-A)
  • Chapter 194 = 0.09 tons; Small Building level (9-A)

Dang, not even Tier 8...

Demonic Evolution: Ang Makes a Crater

In Demonic Evolution, Ang creates a crater. I'll be calculating the yield of this feat.

Average Story Height = 4.3 meters = 5 px

4.3 / 5 = 0.86 meters per px

Crater Diameter = 1034.7 px = 889.842 meters

Crater Radius = 889.842 / 2 = 444.921 meters

Crater Depth = 239.44 px = 205.92 meters

Crater Volume = 50125558.12742 meters^3 = 5.012555813e+13 cc

The last scan of this Imgur bundle showcasing the feat shows steam coming out, so I'll use vaporization.

Vaporization = 25700 Joules/cc

Yield = 5.012555813e+13 * 25700 = 1.2882268e+18 Joules

Ang Makes a Crater = 307.89 megatons; Mountain level (7-A)

A bit higher than I was expecting.

Sonic Boom: Cowbot Explodes

In episode 11 of Sonic Boom, Dr. Eggman unleashes the Cowbot. Before Sonic and co. try to destroy it, Eggman warns them that doing so will cause it to vaporize everything in a 20-mile radius. I'll be calculating the yield of this.

I'll be calculating two ends for this: a ground level explosion, and a vaporized crater.

Ground Level Explosion:

Explosion Radius = 20 miles = 32186.9 meters

Formula is W = R^3*((27136*P + 8649)^(1/2)/13568 - 93/13568)^2, where W is the yield in tons, R is the radius in meters, and P is the standard overpressure of 20 psi, or 1.37895 bars.

W = 32186.9^3*((27136*1.37895 + 8649)^(1/2)/13568 - 93/13568)^2

W = 2.68 gigatons

Fireball:

As suggested by KLOL506, I'll also calculate this as a fireball.

Using this calculator, a fir…
