Introduction[]
Just some feats from Superman vs The Elite. A really good Superman movie IMO.
Calc #1: Lifting Strength[]
Superman s a measly 8 meters. Now, Supes is pretty freaking tall, tall enough to stand heads and shoulders above pretty tall dudes. I think a solid 2 meters is appropriate.
The length of the concrete is 885 pixels
885 / 8 = 110.6
2 * 110.6 = 221.2 meters
The width of the concrete is 150 pixels
150 / 8 = 18.75
2 * 18.75 = 37.5 meters
And the height of the construct is 104 pixels
104 / 8 = 13
13 * 2 = 26 meters
LWH
221.2 * 37.5 * 26 = 215,670 m^3
But it wasn't completely solid, there were three tunnels in it. The diameter of the tunnel is 32 pixels.
32 / 8 = 4
4 * 2 = 8 meters in diameter
8 / 2 = 4 in radius
Using the length as the tunnels height.
Volume of a Cylinder.
pi × r2 × h
r = Radius
h = Height
pi × 4^2 × 221.2 = 11,118.724 m^3
There were three tunnels (ones covered by the water) so multiply that value by three.
11,118.724 * 3 = 33,356.172 m^3
215,670 - 33,356.172 = 182,313.828 m^3
Density of Concrete is 2,400 kg/m^3
182,313.828 * 2,400 = 437,553,187.2 kg
However, there was also several tons of water on top of it.
The low end height of the water is 38 pixels
38 / 8 = 4.75
4.75 * 2 = 9.5 meters
LWH using the parameters of the rectangle.
221.2 * 37.5 * 9.5 = 78,802.5 m^3
Water has a density of 1,000 kg/m^3
78,802.5 * 1,000 = 78,802,500 kg
437,553,187.2 + 78,802,500 = 516,355,687.2 kg
However, it took both Manchesters telekinesis and Supermans raw strength giving it their own to lift up the construct, so cut that in half.
516,355,687.2 / 2 = 258,177,843.6 kg
Class M
Calc #2: Superman goes "Mach 7"[]
Superman flies from the Moon to Earth at "Mach Seven". Lets use the point where Manchester Black teleported to Earth as the start of the timeframe. That means he started flying towards Earth at 1:05:15. He tackles Coldcast at 1:05:37, signifying his presence. The timeframe is likely less then that, but this should serve as a low end.
37 - 15 = 22s
The Earth-Moon Distance is 384,400 km
384,400 km / 22s = 17,472,727 m/s
0.058c
Sub-Relativistic+
Final Tally[]
Superman's Might: 258,177,843.6 kg (Class M)
Superman's Speed: 17,472,727 m/s (Sub-Relativistic+)
Sub-Rel+, Large Star level Superman with Class M lifting strength, all from a fairly short movie. Nice.
By the way, given Assalts recent attempts to make calculating feats easier to get into, I'm trying to make my calcs easier for people to follow. Let me know if this was easy to follow or not.
