Killer Croc, real name Waylon Jones, was born in some little town outside of Tampa near the swamps with a condition akin to reptilian atavism which gave him super strength, an amazing sense of smell and a tough hide. His mother died in childbirth and his father left soon after, leaving him with his aunt who had her own issues, making his childhood rather harsh.
After a misunderstanding led to him getting kicked out of town, he found himself in Coney Island as part of a freak show's main attraction , making his life more of a living hell than it already was. At some point he escaped and became a ganglord in Gotham , his new home , and further down the line, he was enlisted as a member of Task Force X, better known as the Suicide Squad, where he finally found someone who comforted and truly loved him, June Moone, host of The Enchantress who had also grown fond of Waylon, but after they were killed Croc began to feel miserable once again , until fellow Suicide Squad member Harley Quinn convinced him to not give up .

Note 2: The Killer Croc of Rebirth shares very little with his Post-Flashpoint counterpart (even the two should be the same) hence why they get different profiles. The only bit of continuity between the two incarnations that is addressed is their relationship with Roy Harper as seen in Red Hood and the Outlaws (2016) #16-17 and Red Hood and the Outlaws (2016) Annual 02.
