In Street Fighter V, Cammy dodges a bullet. I’mma calc her speed.
Calculation[]
Big thanks to SamanPatou, who requested this calc, for giving me the info I needed about heights of the policeman and Cammy, as well as the type of gun this is.
The gun is a Taurus PT 24/7, with a muzzle velocity of 460 m/s. Now, for the distance the bullet traveled and the distance Cammy traveled, we’ll need 2 PoV calcs.
Policeman Height = 1.72 meters
Average head height is 13% of the total height.
Policeman Head Height = 1.72 * 0.13 = 0.224 meters = 82 px
Panel Height = 768 px
Distance to PoV = (Object Size in Meters * Panel Height in Pixels) / [Object Size in Pixels * 2tan(70/2 deg)] = (0.224 * 768) / [82 * 2tan(70/2 deg)] = 1.5 meters
Cammy Height = 1.64 meters
Cammy Head Height = 1.64 * 0.13 = 0.213 meters = 239.41 px
Distance Cammy Traveled = (Object Size in Meters * Panel Height in Pixels) / [Object Size in Pixels * 2tan(70/2 deg)] = (0.213 * 768) / [239.41 * 2tan(70/2 deg)] = 0.49 meters
Distance the Bullet Traveled = 1.5 - 0.49 = 1.01 meters
This part is necessary because it didn’t travel 1.5 meters by the time Cammy moved 0.49 meters, she moved that distance before it could hit her.
Cammy’s Speed = (Distance Cammy Moved * Muzzle Velocity) / (Distance the Bullet Traveled)
Cammy’s Speed = (0.49 * 460) / 1.01 = 223.17 m/s
Final Result[]
Cammy Dodges a Bullet = 223.17 m/s (Subsonic+)
Better than the two Subsonic feats I literally just calced.
