Introduction[]
Not a calc for once. This time, I'm just providing a brief summary of the cosmology involved with the Dream Stone from Mario and Luigi: Dream Team.
TL;DR: The cosmology within the Dream Stone during the events of the game is equal to around 100,000 universes, giving it a rating of Multiverse level (2-B)
Dream Stone's Cosmology[]
The Dream Stone's cosmology scales to 2-B for the following reasons:
- The Dream Stone is a collection of the power of dreams, and the Dark Stone a collection of the power of nightmares
- This "power of dreams" and "power of nightmares" are actually dreams and nightmares themselves, as evidenced by the shattering of the Dark Stone resulting in chunks of nightmares raining down on Pi'illo Island. The Dream Stone would be equivalent to this, as the two are directly equal
- Dreams in the Super Mario series are regarded as universes, as evidenced by Future Dream. Other such dreams include the Subcons, with an individual one being stated to be a universe. They're also separate space-times, as both the space and the time of individual dreams could be manipulated by Dreamy Luigi without any bearing on other dreams
- Although there are theoretically countless dreams, and thus countless universes, the Dream Stone during the events of Dream Team does not scale to this, as it had lost its power and needs to be properly powered first by the dreams of people. This was done with the Dreambeats, which caused everyone on Pi'illo Island (with a few individual exceptions) to fall asleep
- Given this, the number of dreams that powered the Dream Stone would be about equal to the population of Pi'illo Island. As such, as accepted in this thread, we will use the population of Yeongjongdo, the island with the smallest population, with 100,000 people.
Conclusion[]
This is admittedly a brief summary, but I hope it adequately explains the rating for the Dream Team characters such as the Zeekeeper, Antasma, and Dreamy Bowser.
Once again, they scale to 100,000 universes, each one being a separate space-time, making them Multiverse level (2-B)
