i just did this calc a second ago and i was almost done but i ran out of batteries and now i have to start over so that's annoying

so basically if this looks rushed that's because it is

the feat: https://youtu.be/VBBTONqoua8?t=0m23s

the calc[]

in the first shot, danno gets knocked out of the frame. i'll use him as a ruler here. however, since he's leaning forward a bit, this could be inaccurate, so i decided i'd also use the pig as a ruler for a low end.

Danno dies

in the second shot, danno gets launched away from the audience's point of view. i'll use this formula to figure out how far he goes.

Danno dies II

1.684 * 1152/[215*2*tan(70deg/2)] = 6.44316612173 meters

now to put the shots together for the total distance he travelled.

low end: 2.023435 + 6.44316612173 = 8.46660112173 meters

high end: 2.8500967118 + 6.44316612173 = 9.29326283353 meters

so according to this, the low end is street level+ and the high end is wall level.

the calc but again[]

i did it wrong!! :D

thankfully a strapping young lad known to the public as blahblah9755 has corrected my errors for me

"The calc you linked is for knocking someone horizontally, so that they travel so fast they cross the distance before the time can pass to hit the ground. For getting hit into the air you need to use PE or time it and use KE from that.

For PE it’s 62kg*9.81m/s/s*9.29326283353 m = 5652.34832J

For the low end, it’s 62kg*9.81m/s/s*8.46660112173m = 5149.55613 J

So, a bit lower."

street level curious george prevails once more
