Introduction[]
Here I am going to attempt to calculate another common feat.
It would looks something like this.
Calculation[]
AP[]
Average height of an adult male's mandible is 71.99 mm
The bone you'd need to break to separate the jaw from the rest of the skull is called the temporomandibular joint.
AKA this thing outlined in red.

So using pixelscaling...

(124/182)*0.07199 = 0.04904813186 meters
(200/182)*0.07199 = 0.0791098901 meters
If I treat that joint as a pyramid with a square base...
Volume = 0.000102 m^3 or 102 cm^3
Of course there are two of these suckers per human so that's 204 cm^3
Bone has a shear stress strength of 51.6 MPa
204*51.6 = 10526.4 joules or Street level+
Revision[]
To make a long story short, this joint is made of tendons and cartilage, not bone.

(18/59)*71.99 = 21.9630508475/2 = 10.9815254237
(53/59)*71.99 = 64.6689830508
Volume of a cylinder gives me 24500.29 mm^3 or 24.50029 cm^3
(35/59)*71.99 = 42.7059322034
(19/59)*71.99 = 23.183220339/2 = 11.5916101695
Volume of a cylinder gives me 18027.09 mm^3 or 18.02709 cm^3
(120/63)*71.99 = 137.123809524
((13/63)*71.99)/2 = 7.42753968254
Volume of a cylinder gives me 23765.81 mm^3 or 23.76581 cm^3
((67/63)*71.99)/2 = 38.2803968254
(73/63)*71.99 = 83.416984127
Volume of a cone gives me 1.28e+5 mm^3 or 128 cm^3
(24.50029+18.02709+23.76581)*2 = 132.58638 cm^3 of tendons
128*2 = 256 cm^3 of cartilage
Tensile strength of tendons is 52.49 MPa
Tensile strength of cartilage is 27.5 MPa
132.58638*52.49 = 6959.4590862 joules
256*27.5 = 7040 joules
6959.4590862+7040 = 13999.4590862 joules or Street level+
Lifting Strength[]
51.6 MPa is equal to 526.1736 kg/cm^2
Using our previously solved-for volume, our two temporomandibular joints have a collective surface area of 323.88 cm^2
323.88*526.1736 = 170417.105568 kg or Class K
I'm not extremely confident in the accuracy of this method btw
Revision[]
Bambu suggests I use the area of the base of the pyramid instead of that if the whole thing.
(7.9*7.9)*2 = 124.82
526.1736*124.82 = 65676.988752 kg or Class 100
Revision 2[]
Using the values found in the revision of the AP, the collective surface area of the tendons is as follows (I'll be finding the surface area of the bases of the cylinders, as I did with the pyramid in the previous LS revision):
(3.7886+4.2212+1.7332)*2 = 19.486 cm^2
And that of the cartilage:
4603.65*2 = 9207.3 mm^2 or 92.073 cm^2
52.49 MPa is 535.24904 kg/cm^2
535.24904*19.486 = 10429.8627934 kg
27.5 MPa is 280.422 kg/cm^2
280.422*92.073 = 25819.294806 kg
25819.294806+10429.8627934 = 36249.1575994 kg or Class 50
Conclusion[]
- Attack Potency: 13999.4590862 joules or Street level+
- Lifting Strength: 36249.1575994 kg or Class 50
