Aah, doing classic NMH calcs again, feels nostalgic, actually. I've been thinking the current speed stuff isn't legit so yeah. For NMH1 there isn't anything near Sub-Rel but some great bullet feats anyways, NMH2 has a really interesting one that might also double as a good AP feat?

Dr Peace Parry[]

Feat here. Assuming a SAA and a .357 Magnum for the bullet, which with an 11' barrel length gives us a median speed of 1831 ft/s or 558.1 m/s. Pics 5 frames apart, while it takes Travis 8 to do a 180° swing. Anyways, to get the bullet's distance moved I'll get the angsize difference on both it and Travis' ear (average male ear is 6.3 cm), given that the camera moves forward.

The diameter of a .357 is 0.91 cm, and a human ear is on average 6.3 cm.

  • Bullet: (0.91 * 1080/[43*2*tan(70deg/2)]) - (0.91 * 1080/[57*2*tan(70deg/2)]) = 4.0086 cm
  • Ear: = (6.3 * 1080/[61.4*2*tan(70deg/2)]) - (6.3 * 1080/[93*2*tan(70deg/2)]) = 26.8871 cm
  • Total: 26.8871 + 4.0086 = 30.8957 cm
  • Distance moved by Travis = 175 / 389.2 * 184.7 = (83.0485 + 76.74 (arm length)) x pi = 500.9222 cm
  • 558.1 / (30.8957 / (5/60)) * (500.9222 / (8/60) = 5655.4124 m/s, Hypersonic+

Helter Skelter Dodge[]

Somehow, Travis remains completely unharmed as Helter Skelter blasts him with bullets. He's wearing a super loose cloak at the time, which the bullets are clearly hitting, so if I had to assume, he's dodging after the bullets are touching the cloak (for context he's fucking with this guy and later deflects all his attacks with an arm behind his back then insta-kills him in one clash).

This is obviously not a real gun but I'm gonna assume it's firing .500 S&W bullets (big) which shot from a 20 inch barrel gun, which this definitely is, reach 2189 ft/s or 667.2 m/s. I'm gonna assume there's a 3 cm gap between the cloak and Travis, bit generous (especially since one of the shots even hits the arm) but not impossible and lowballing is better. Several of the bullets appear to hit him square in the chest, shoulder to shoulder width is 41 cm, let's do half that.

  • 667.2 / 3 * 20.5 = 4559.2 m/s, Hypersonic+

Vladimir Beam (Speed)[]

Feat here, and here is the beam being parried in gameplay, as you can see it's not hitscan, it has travel time and in the scan shown (which very luckily happens to let me angsize Vlad's own position) of 6 frames at 60 fps, while Travis does a quarter-circle parry motion in just one. As you can see in the first scan he's about the same height as Travis, maybe a bit shorter, I'll do 170 cm

  • The beam takes 147 frames at 60 fps to reach the satellite, 55 of satellites are 2000 km away from earth, however the beam casually curves, it's a bit rough but I'll calculate the angle of it as we see it and then use triangle angle shit to see how much longer the two sides of it would be, treating 2000 km as the hypothenuse. Or rather, that's what I would do but the perspective is fucked so I'm going to just use the half of it that's more parallel to the camera. As we can see the angle is 76° which gives us a length of 1030614 x 2 = 2061228 m
  • so 2061228 / (147/60) = 841317.551
  • 170 * 1080/[235.6*2*tan(70deg/2)] = 556.4685 cm
  • 841317.551 / 556.4685 * (130.4522 / (1/6)) = 1183373.99612 m/s, Massively Hypersonic+

Vladimir Beam (AP)[]

Scans above, but now I calc Vlad's beam splitting the satellite (it explodes afterwards but I think that's just the fuel igniting or something), comparison to get the satellite's size using its own beam here and comparing it to its width in gameplay (unfortunately it's bigger than the whole screen once he walks into it and also the video is 240p but that's the best I can do because nobody is stupid enough to walk into this attack, guess it's a lowball)

  • Pic 1: 175 / 633.3 * 1920 = 530.5542 cm
  • Pic 2: 530.5542 / 8.5 (to play it safe, difficult to really pick a specific size here and even a half px can matter a lot) * 106.4 = 6641.29 cm
  • Pic 3:
    • 6641.29 / 100 * 132 = 8766.5028
    • 6641.29 / 100 * 9.8 = 650.84642
  • First off the area that was cut, one radius is 6641.29 / 2 = 3320.645 and the other 8766.5028 / 2 = 4383.2514, total area is 45726578 cm^2.
  • So, we'll do two ends, one as a splitting calc and the other just assuming that the beam vfragged a 6.5 meters wide section of satellite, visuals-wise it's the first but like it's a mid-budget kinda rushed Wii game so idk if I wanna put my life on that. Absolutely no remains are seen so IG you could do pulv but idk.
  • So satellites are made of titanium, aluminum and also a lot of alloys but I am going to make my life simpler and not consider those. It's weirdly hard to find X-Rays of non-manned satellites, but all the ones I've found make them look pretty dense, more than a building anyways so I'm just gonna do 80% hollowness, and the material will be 50/50 aluminum and titanium. To note is that the aluminum is used in alloys which make it a lot tougher, but idk how to factor that in. Also Kevlar is used too but look man let's stick with those two ok.
    • VFrag End (We do see literally no destruction, it's just, yknow, shot is pretty far away) = 45726578 x 650.84642 x (10% of 234) + (10% of 760) = 696406922486 Joules, Multi-City Block level
    • Splitting End: (10% of 45000) + (10% of 34) = 4503.4, 4503.4 MPa x 45726578 cm^2 x 650.84642 cm = 1.34025595 x 10^14 Joules, Town level
