Done for this thread. Super Sanic flies so fast that he makes stars blur. Pretty wicked.
As cheesy as it is, listening to the 4kids Sonic X theme pumps me up to do this calc.
At least, I think they're stars. People say they're stars. Look a little wonky to me, but what else would they be?
The Calculation[]
Method 1[]
The Star diameter is 5 pixels. Diameter of the sun is 1,391,400,037.21 meters
The distance Sonic flies is 82 pixels
82 / 5 = 16.4
1,391,400,037.21 * 16.4 = 22,818,960,610.2 meters
The snapshot was taken at 12:19:47, and he travels the distance at 12:19:67
19.67 - 19.47 = 0.2s
22,818,960,610.2 meters / 0.2 = 114,094,803,051 m/s

0.009871059856×180°/π = 0.56557006907° Degrees
Angsizing yields: 2.3117e+12 meters

I'm more comfortable with the low end since he isn't traveling to the star, just flying past it. I'll see what others think though.
