Revision: Old Snake dodges a Railgun round[]

In this thread it was concluded that the speed of railguns in the verse can be scaled to Metal Gear REX's which can launch nuclear warheads at speeds above 100 km/s. Given that the portable railguns are minituarized versions of the same technology according to the MGS4 database and shoot much smaller projectiles than a nuclear warhead/missile It isn't a stretch to say they should have the same level of speed.
With that in mind, this old calc by Xcano can be revised with new values, credits to him for getting the hard math out of the way.
Since the only thing that changes here is the speed of the projectile itself, which was assumed to be
- Railgun Speed (Low) - 2000 m/s
- Railgun Speed (High) - 3500 m/s
We only need to find how much of a difference there is between 100,000 m/s and 2,000 m/s and multiply the number by the final results of the aforementioned calculation.
- Solid Snake Dodges Railgun (Low) - 210.15 m/s, Subsonic+
100,000 / 2000 = 50, multiply by 210.15 to get 10507.5 m/s
New Result
Old Snake dodges Railgun = 10507.5 m/s or Mach 30.88 High Hypersonic

Pretty clear-cut, Raiden manages to swing his arms and move forward a bit before the projectile hits the crate.
For this angsizing seems like it could work.

- Fortune's distance to camera
- Fortune's height (From average US female height) = 1.618 /7.5
- Head = 0.21573333333
- 2atan(tan(70/2)*(45/720))=0.0592095361=3.3924565254659
- distance= 3.6425
- Raiden's distance to camera
- Raiden's Height (According to metal gear wiki) = 1.778 /7.5
- Head = 0.23706666667
- 2atan(tan(70/2)*(403/720))=0.518473844 rad = 29.706363049198
- distance = 0.44695 meters

He starts moving from frame 4018, and by frame 4052 (when the bullet hits the crate) his arms have made almost a full circle.

- 296px = 0.70265420562 meters
- Half it since they're bent when he moves them = 0.35132710281

- Judging by the video, he moves his arms roughly 7/8ths of a circunference or 315°.
- Distance: 2pi*0.35132710281=(2.207453290389764/8)*7 = 1.9315216290910435 meters.
Result
We only need to find a ratio of how much raiden moved compared to the bullet, so: 1.9315216290910435/2.47369285714 = 0.78082516328, mulitply by 100 km/s to get final result

Well as you can see, Raiden is blocking bullets from 4 different directions, the thing is, that the guns are being fired in near-perfect synchrony, so rather than multiplying the rate of fire by 4, the only window raiden has to block those bullets is the time it would take them to cross their own length, if he is any slower he would miss them and get hit.
Practically, a redux of this other calculation
Presumptions are the similar, in order for Raiden to be able to block he needs to swing his arm around 90°-180° degrees or 1/4th to 1/2 of a circumference
Distance Arm Moved
- We already calculated Raiden's arm length above to be 0.70265420562.
- 90° swing = 2pi*0.70265420562 = 4.41490658078/4 = 1.1037266452 meters
- 180° swing = 2pi*0.70265420562 = 4.41490658078/2 = 2.20745329039 meters
Timeframe
- As I stated above, he only really has the time it would take for the bullets to cross their own lenght, the soldiers are wielding P90s which have a muzzle velocity of 715 m/s and are chambered in 5.7x28mm
- timeframe = .028 meters/ 715 m/s = 0.0000391608391608 secs of timeframe.
