Legionis

Male Protagonist (Astral Chain)
A month has passed since our fateful encounter with Noah. Fewer and fewer gates open throughout the Ark with each passing day. But our troubles aren't over. Jin and Alicia put Neuron back together. They still don't have a new Commander, but Olive's making the best of it. Come to think of it, maybe Neuron does have a new Commander now, after all. Marie does her very best to pitch in, whether anybody wants her to or not. At the reopened ARI, Brenda's turned her research outward, to the lands we lost decades ago. She thinks we may one day be able to leave the Ark. She's "cautiously optimistic", which is as sure as Brenda ever gets. Hal never came back to Neuron. Not even with his drone. But rumor has it the Hermits have turned over a new leaf towards restoration efforts in Zone 09. Maybe they've had a little help along the way. You never can tell what Hal's up to. As for Akira... ...She vanished along with Noah. But she's still here, with us, too. She doesn't know exactly what happened a month back. Maybe she never will. Why did one get left behind? As an act of mercy from Noah, maybe? Or a gift from the Legions? I don't know. But i do know that i'll keep fighting as long as she's by my side. Until the world is clean again. Until the world is peaceful again. I know someone who would've wanted it that way.

Attack PotencySmall Building level (Can fight Aberrations), likely higher (Fought the berserk Sword Legion and was able to weaken and restrain them, even while weakened by redshifting). Building level+ with Sword Legion (Damaged Enceladus, who knocked down a bridge) | Small City level+, possibly City level+ (Defeated Chimeras whose presence created massive rainstorms over the city) | At least Multi-Continent level (Fought Noah Prime, which was going to redshift the entire planet), likely far higher (Noah Prime is the embodiment of the Astral Plane, which is stated to be far larger than Earth and possibly infinite in size). Higher in Legion Fusion (Equal to Akira's Legion Fusion, who killed six clones of their normal self within seconds of transforming. One-shot Jena, who was equal if not superior to them before fusing)

SpeedSupersonic (Dodged Jena's electricity), possibly far higher (Can dodge lightning, though isn't nearly as fast as it), higher with Speed Star. Legions are faster (Riding Beast Legion allows for Legionis to run across crumbling floor they can't bypass otherwise)

Lifting Strength: Regular Human, likely Class 5 with Legions (Easily overpowered Laius, who effortlessly tossed a small truck into the air). Class K with Arm Legion (Lifted a massive security door)

Striking StrengthSmall Building Class, likely higher. Building level+ with Sword Legion | Small City Class+, possibly City Class+, higher with Power Charge | At least Multi-Continent Class, likely far higher, higher with Power Charge. Higher in Legion Fusion

DurabilitySmall Building level, likely higherBuilding level+ for Sword Legion (Cannot be killed itself, but can be dissipated if hit hard enough) | Small City level+, possibly City level+higher with Blue Shield (Creates energy shields that block any damage). Small City level+, possibly City level+ for Legions | At least Multi-Continent level, likely far higherhigher with Blue Shield. At least Multi-Continent level for Legions. Higher in Legion Fusion (Equal to Akira's Legion-Fusion, which they were unable to even scratch without fusing themselves)

Stamina: Very high. Subjugated their own Legion to a near-standstill while heavily weakened by redshift and after nearly dying at the hands of various Chimeras and being in active combat for several hours. Then proceeded to fight off the other four Legions (all of which are just as strong as Sword Legion, if not stronger) for several minutes. Virtually limitless for Legions if the Legatus' energy is managed properly. Far lower for Legion Fusion form, which only lasts about thirty seconds before defusing and leaves Legionis exhausted to the point of collapse after wearing off, although this problem seems to have lessened once they learn to control the form.

Range: Extended melee range with X-Baton, hundreds of meters with Blaster and Astral Chain. Legions have (on top of the Astral Chain's range) standard melee range for Sword, Arm, and Beast; several meters with Axe due to its weapon's sheer size; tens of meters with various skills; hundreds of meters with Arrow. | Several meters while fused thanks to sheer size, hundreds of meters with projectiles.

Standard Equipment: X-Baton (with Baton, Blaster, and Gladius modes), Legatus and Astral Chain, IRIS Eyepiece, AED Batteries; various types of Medicine, Grenades, Drones, Soft Drinks, Empty Soda Cans, and other items. Legions have no notable equipment apart from being connected to the Astral Chain and Legatus.

Intelligence: Gifted. Competent police officer and skilled detective, is capable of repairing complex machinery such as Hal's drone and police radars with little-to-no guidance. Legions vary from effectively Animalistic at the beginning (don't seem to be much smarter than an average Chimera) to likely Average by the end (seem to understand human emotions, and may act of their own volition in Legionis' best interests, even ignoring Legionis' commands to do so in certain cases)

Weaknesses: Damage taken by Legions transfers to them (this only occurs on the hardest difficulty, so it may be a gameplay mechanic). AED Batteries and Medicines have limited stock. Legions tend to get "cranky" if active for too long, although proper energy management can mitigate this issue. Won't kill civilians even if they're attacking with murderous intent, although they will use lethal force against corrupted, animalistic humans or sufficiently evil individuals such as Jena Anderson | Same as before, and also can only control one Legion at a time. | Same as before. Fusing with the Legion, while a powerful tool, also strips them of any versatility they had (forcing them to go into a berserk frenzy), only lasts for a short while, and takes a very long time to recharge without using a ResoMax consumable.

Notable Attacks and Techniques:

Perfect Dodge: Upon dodging an enemy attack at just the right moment, Legionis can counter with a lunging double kick that hits much harder than their batons do.

Dash Attack: Legionis dashes forward with a sliding kick

Charge Attack: Legionis uses a stronger X-Baton attack after a second or so of charge, either an explosive blaster shot or a significantly stronger melee strike.

Chain Bind: By moving the Legions around within the Astral Chain's range and looping the chain around a target, Legionis can tie them up with ethereal chains invisible to civilians. This is useful for both subduing targets non-lethally or setting them up for a free combo. This is the only one of these abilities available pre-Sync.

Sync Attacks: After certain actions, such as a Perfect Dodge or finishing a combo with the baton, Legionis can command their Legion to use a special attack, which can vary greatly (e.g. a powerful slash, a storm of blasts) depending on Legion and method.

Chain Jump: Legionis can have the Legions pull them along the chain to quickly cross gaps or rescue themselves from pits. This can be curved around structures such as pillars to angle the trajectory, and Legionis will dive-kick any foe that gets in the way.

Power Charge: A skill for upgraded Legions that boosts striking power.

Speed Star: A skill for upgraded Legions that boosts speed and agility.

Hit Rush: A skill for upgraded Legions that lets them free of the Astral Chain to ravage a nearby enemy for a few seconds. Legionis can't control the Legion during this, but can summon another to take their place.

Auto-Bind: A skill for upgraded Legions, causing them to dash forward and sweep the Astral Chain around a wide area in front of Legionis, binding anyone caught within.

Blueshift: A unique ability of the Sword Legion, with a moment of time and focus, Sword can heal redshift corruption more effectively than any other known method.

Hacking: An ability unique to the Sword Legion, it can stab cameras and hack into their footage to overlay a hologram-playback onto Legionis' IRIS feed, to help investigations. It can also manipulate data terminals in the Astral Plane with the same process.

Slash Mode: By teaming up with Legionis, Sword itself can be used as a slashing implement on the end of the Astral Chain. This can disrupt electromagnetic signals and slash enemies. By focusing, Legionis can slow their perception of time as well, making it easier to hit their mark.

Round Sword: A skill for the upgraded Sword Legion, it summons a set of blades to quickly rotate around itself, constantly damaging anything that gets close. By commanding Sword to move, it's possible to use this to hit enemies from afar.

Triple Sword: A skill for the upgraded Sword Legion, a variation of Round Sword that sends the blades spinning along the Astral Chain to dice anything close by. Legionis and Sword can bounce this back and forth several times with good timing.

Shooting Mode: By teaming up with Legionis, Arrow can create a larger bow that Legionis controls to snipe faraway targets with energy arrows. Like Slash Mode, Legionis can focus to slow time and hit their mark more accurately.

Air Shot: A skill for the upgraded Arrow Legion, it rains a hail of arrows along the Astral Chain, striking any enemies nearby.

Slow Shot: A skill for the upgraded Arrow Legion, a variant of Air Shot that will cause any enemies struck by the attack to be encased in a bubble of slowed-down time.

Wear Armor: Arm itself can be worn by Legionis as a living armor, allowing them to use its incredible strength as their own and hover over hazardous terrain such as poison.

Round Bullet: A skill for the upgraded Arm Legion, it unveils the laser blasters in its fingers and wildly spreads blaster fire in all directions.

Gravity Storm: A skill for the upgraded Arm Legion, it transforms its arm into a large cannon and fires a blast forward that expands into a large vortex that sucks enemies towards it and deals significant damage if they get sucked in. Legionis themselves can barely escape it, to give an idea of the vortex's pull strength.

Riding Beast: Beast can be mounted by Legionis. This lets them move much faster than normal and can protect them from many forms of harm.

Tracking: A special ability unique to the Beast Legion, it can extract DNA samples from small objects (such as a briefcase) and cross-reference it to find a nearby match, and track it like a dog might. It can also detect invisible enemies (as in, invisible to even Legionis) without the need for a DNA sample.

Digging: Another ability unique to the Beast Legion, it can dig up buried items and enemies, again like a dog would. When dragging up enemies, it digs much faster.

Howl: A skill for the upgraded Beast Legion, it lets out a powerful howl, stunning all foes within its hearing range.

Chain Drive: A skill for the upgraded Beast Legion, it electrifies the Astral Chain, turning it into a red-hot cutting wire that Beast can then pull into foes.

Barrier: A passive ability of the Axe Legion, it has a barrier that protects it from environmental dangers such as fire or poison gas, as well as lighter attacks, though it can be broken by strong enough attacks. It can use this barrier to shield Legionis from harm as well.

Detonation: A special ability unique to the Axe Legion, it can plant an explosive replica of its blade in cracked walls, allowing it to destroy said walls and often hurt any enemies nearby.

Blue Shield: A skill for the upgraded Axe Legion, a variant of their barrier that creates three rotating energy shields around Legionis, negating weaker hits and protecting them from one strong hit each, up to three total.

Crash Bomb: A skill for the upgraded Axe Legion, a variant of the detonation ability where they stab a volatile blade-replica into the ground, ready to explode if any enemies so much as touch it, or after a few seconds have passed, heavily damaging anyone caught within the explosion.

Standard Tactics: Legionis usually activates their Legion right away, and will likely attempt to Chain Bind the enemy to give themselves time to use skills such as Power Charge before going on the offensive. When facing multiple targets, Legionis and Legion will often, though not always, fight two foes separately, while frequently using Sync Attacks to cover each other. If Legionis is low on health, they will likely retreat to let the Legion hold off foes while quickly downing medicine to heal themselves, and may use Legion-Fusion for the Endgame key if the situation is dire enough. While rarely enraged enough to be considered bloodlusted, they would likely forgo tactics in such a case and simply attack alongside their Legion, likely fusing if the option is available.

Keys: Pre-Sync | Post-Sync | Endgame

Note: Legionis' collection of Legions may be limited depending on the key. Pre-Sync can only have Sword Legion if any, and does not have access to any Legion-based techniques except Chain Binding and likely Blueshifting and Hacking. Post-Sync collects them in this order: Sword, Arrow, Arm, Beast, Axe. If using Post-Sync Legionis, please specify which Legions are available, and if any of their abilities (e.g. Arrow's Slow Shot) are restricted. Also please specify whether damage taken by the Legions is transferred to Legionis or not, as this changes depending on gameplay settings.

Also, due to the inconsistencies in the in-game C-ratings, it's likely best to ignore the scaling chain presented by them.
