Dr. Hofnarr, or better known as Tricky the Clown is a Nexus Core scientist Assassin, turned reality bending zombie clown and a recurring character in the Madness Combat series.

All abilities from before besides fire manipulation, plus Avatar Creation, Power Bestowal, Summoning (Can summon small and large minions), Corruption, Portal Creation, Teleportation, Dimensional Travel (Can drag people to Hell through a corruption that his mere touch spreads, as well as use it to teleport or travel to and from Hell and Nevada), BFR and Soul Manipulation (Due to the Halo's abilities of passage between worlds, upon killing someone's physical body their soul is passively sent to Hell), In Hell, he has all previous except for Large Size, but also gains: Regeneration (Mid: Regenerated from holes in his torso and head), Chain Manipulation, Gravity Manipulation, Creation, Flight, Immortality (Type 2, 3, 4 and 9. Intelligence: Genius (WoG considers Hofnarr the smartest man in the entire verse. Discovered and was capable of containing Dissonant energy with his Divergence Engine technology, which is a corrupting force that comes from Hell, which can warp logic and distort the mind of anyone who perceives it. implied he could weaponize said energy if he were forced to.) | Unknown, possibly Genius (While Tricky is a skilled combatant who can easily outmatch Hank and Jesus even when they're fighting together, he is far from sane and tends to risk himself unnecessarily and counter himself just for his joy of screwing things up. Being a resident of Nevada, he can navigate through pockets of space and two separate measurement systems with ease and fight as an extremely technical mercenary through them. Despite this, he still seems to retain some of his intelligence from when he was Dr. Hofnarr.)

Weaknesses: None notable | Tricky is absolutely insane and resurrects people who can kill him for fun. If the Portable Improbability Drive takes extensive damage, he loses his resistances to BFR and Soul Manipulation. Beings such as The Retainers can subdue his powers. His immortality is not reliable, as sometimes the Higher Powers don't resurrect him at all, although it's more reliable and faster than with Jesus and Hank | None notable

Notable Attacks/Techniques:

  • Portable Improbability Drive: With the device, Tricky is capable of bending and breaking reality to suit his own needs. While his degree of proficiency over it is unknown, he has used it to resurrect himself and render his deaths as 'INVALID', as well as call upon buildings full of agents and a train.
  • The Higher Powers: The Higher Powers are a supernatural medium that look over Tricky, finding earth conflict amusing being the cause of Tricky's constant resurrection.
  • Hell: In his Madness Combat 11 form, Tricky manifests in the real world as a large skeletal monster. In this form, he will use creation and summon spam along with extremely high strength to force his opponents through black portals, which transfer them to Hell. In here, Tricky gains an assortment of new abilities, and resurrects every time he is killed. Exact requirements to kill him are unknown, but he does fiercely defend The Halo and dies when struck with the white streaks from the sky.
