Summary

Triceratops is a genus of ceratopsid dinosaur that lived during the late Maastrichtian stage of the Late Cretaceous period, from 68 to 66 million years ago, in what is now North America.

Triceratops is the most famous of all ceratopsians (commonly known as horned dinosaurs), as well as one of the most iconic dinosaurs, not only because of its frill and 3 horns but also because it lived alongside other famous dinosaurs such as Tyrannosaurus and Ankylosaurus as the last non-avian dinosaurs before the Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event.

2 of many proposed species have been assigned as valid to the genus Triceratops, T. horridus and the less well-known T. prorsus. T. horridus can be distinguished from T. prorsus by having a shallower snout, straighter brow horns, and slightly bigger size. Individual Triceratops are estimated to have reached from 7.9 to 9 m in length, 2.9 to 3.0 m in height, and 6.1–13.5 tonnes in weight. The two species are also separated stratigraphically within the Hell Creek Formation, indicating that they did not live together at the same time.

Powers and Stats

Tier: 9-B, higher via piercing damage

Name: Triceratops (genus). Species are T. horridus and T. prorsus

Origin: The Real World

Gender: Varies

Age: Varies

Classification: Dinosaur, Ornithischian, Marginocephalian, Ceratopsian, Ceratopsid, Chasmosaurine, Triceratopsin

Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Large Size (Type 0; Their length ranged from 7.9 to 9 meters), Natural Weaponry (Horns)

Attack Potency: Wall level (Via their sheer size, bulk and speed. Is far bigger than the biggest crocodile in the world,[1] who's a part of a species that are the closest relative to dinosaurs.[2] Fossils evidence also suggested that conflicts with Tyrannosaurus did occur,[3] and some of this evidence even claimed the Triceratops victorious. Can fight and harm other Triceratops[4]), higher via piercing damage (Able to pierce each other's frills[4])

Speed: Unknown, possibly Average Human to Superhuman (Different studies claimed different speed values, with studies from 2000 claiming they are comparable to modern rhinos [50 - 55 km/h], while more recent studies [which also established Tyrannosaurus' speed] claimed they were not faster than Tyrannosaurus)

Lifting Strength: Class 5 to Class 10 (Has sufficient speed and strength to be stronger than the strongest living crocodile)

Striking Strength: Wall level

Durability: Wall level (They likely often fought other members of their species for territory & breeding.[5] While they can pierce each other’s frills, their bodies should be capable of withstanding the raw strength of them pushing each other.[4][6] Could fend off and oppose the strength of a Tyrannosaurus rex & likely didn't charge at it's opponents (as it's skull would break upon impact).[3][7] Should be significantly more durable than a saltwater crocodile[1][2])

Stamina: Unknown

Range: Standard Melee Range

Standard Equipment: None notable

Intelligence: Animalistic

Weaknesses: If Triceratops was tipped over from the side, it would have trouble getting up.[8]
