  • Saw this just now, might as well try it. After all Elder Scrolls and XCOM are pretty awesome as far as I'm concerned.

Speed is equal, both are 8-B. SBA otherwise

    • Does the XCOM Soldier use any magic or are all their abilities technology based. Also apparently they only have 9-B durability without shields and the EC paralyzes with a literally glare and he can spam it so does the XCOM soldier start with that shield up? (The EC also stomps 60 tons while XCOM soldiers appear to be baseline)

    • Wait ignore the shield part, it’s late where I live, that’s apparently their armor. Does the XCOM have the 7-B armor or 9-B armor in this fight because they apparently don’t have 8-B armor and it wouldn’t matter anyways as EC oneshots their 8-B key easily.

    • Idk on the armour would be better to ask a more knowledgeable person, all their stuff is tech based. The psychic stuff I don't think counts as magic either iirc. SBA would prolly assume shields and cloaking devices are up like how EC starts of invisible

    • After rereading their profiles I just notice the Eternal Champion doesn’t resist mind manipulation (which is strange considering how common mind manipulation is in the Elder Scrolls) so I guess the XCOM soldier just mind haxs since it’s their opening move.

    • Well since its composite its up in the air, ET doesn't resist mind hax that's odd

        Loading editor
    • Aren’t XCOM soldiers primary psychics? If so the chance of them starting with mind manipulation seem pretty high. Even if they don’t start with it they have plenty of time to try it since they are also invisible. Heck the EC’s invisibility and durability shoots him in the foot because that just gives the soldier more of a reason to use mind hax

        Loading editor
    • Well yeah though iirc they need a target first so it's really a case of hide and seek, not sure if XCOM cloaking has a limit or not though

        Loading editor
    • From experience, mind haxing is the what people usually go with, especially if they're susceptible to it and it's the only target.

What does the EC lead with?

        Loading editor
    • Is XCOM Soldier gonna know to mind hax and where? EC iirc starts off cloaked

    • XCOM soldiers can detect invisible enemies.

The Battle Scanner Provides extra vision on the battlefield. Soldiers deploy it like a grenade, throwing it to a hidden area of the map that they want to reveal. Any hidden or disguised enemies will be revealed as well.

Hidden enemies, either in the fog of war or cloaked, within a short distance are revealed with a vague bioelectric outline and grants immunity to strangulation.

    • Hmmmm okay, isn't EC's Invisible stuff falling under reality warping? I thought all magic in TES counted as that. Fair play tho if Soldier can detect cause EC will prolly give off body temperature

        Loading editor
    • No reality warping is the cause of magic not the effect, unless it’s the alteration school of magic, while invisibility is illusory.

    • Ah okay I've never really looked at TES lore (I didn't feel like a low 2-C Dragonborn when a bear still whooped my ass) so Eternal can be detected at least. Do we have any calcs for XCOM Soldier or are they baseline?

        Loading editor
    • As far as I can tell from their profile and previous matches XCOM soldiers are baseline, but it doesn’t matter anyways because the EC stomps 8-B+ characters so the XCOM soldier would be one shot and the EC also has spells to find them. However I believe the soldier just mind haxs him and calls it a day.

        Loading editor
    • The XCOM profiles really need a revamp but here's a link to a bunch of calcs.

        Loading editor
    • Ok so after reading them unless they scale to the 8-A and higher stuff they would still be in the range EC is literally invincible to (he straight up can’t be harmed by 60 ton attacks while the highest 8-B calc on that list is 35-40 tons). So this comes down to the soldier mind haxing the EC which seems likely.

        Loading editor
    • The durability is scaled to the Low 7-C feat.

        Loading editor
    • Then their profile is indeed outdated. Good thing is the EC can ignore durability so he has a way around that, but honestly this match seems like a big mismatch. The EC can’t hurt the XCOM soldier, the Soldier can’t harm the EC if their given 8-B weapons. And I believe the new revisions on what counts as a stomp means that the XCOM stomps since it’s thought based mind manipulation vs curses that take time. And if the mind manipulation isn’t thought based then the soldier is just paralyzed from a glare and cursed into being so dumb they forget their own name and lose the will to fight. So as much as I like the idea of this match it doesn’t really seem to work.
