This is the official thread for requesting calcs to be done by the members of the Calc Group and other senior editors.
However, this help is entirely optional, and the people who do the requesting cannot expect that anybody will somehow be automatically interested in doing the requested calcs.
It is not allowed to complain about delays in producing calcs. It is also strictly prohibited to spam the message walls of Admins and the members of the Calc group to have a look at the thread.
You are also not allowed to bump posts that have already appeared within the same thread, as this spams the thread, turns it incoherent, and reduces the chance of the calc group members being interested in helping out at all, as they may feel constantly pestered for attention.
The calc group will have a final say as to whether a calc is feasible or not, and will discuss internally who is to do the calc.
Take note that a lot of different types of common standard feats have already been calculated, so preferably browse through this page before making a request, to see whether or not it is necessary.
This thread is only for posting requests, and for the calculation group to respond to said requests. Off-topic discussion is absolutely not allowed, and will result in the posts being deleted, and the ones responsible possibly receiving a block. However, you are allowed to answer questions from the calculation group members.
As our calc group members are people too, we realise that their work is time-consuming. Given the daily volume of calculations that the team is tasked with performing, it is important that you give your requests proper classifications, as detailed in the official Calculation Evaluations and Requests Instructions page.
If your requested feat has already been properly calculated by the calc group, please update your post to state this in a bolded font, as this makes it easier for calc group members to tell which requests that have been overlooked.
Importance/Priority: 3 (scales to the top tiers of the verse with a massive buff to AP and speed
Name of Verse: DCAU
Description of Feat:
In Justice League vs The Fatal Five, Emerald Empress sends her Emerald Eye, which had just absorbed all the energy within the Green Lantern Power Battery, from Earth's surface to the Sun to blow it up/tear it apart, stating it would take it 3 minutes to reach there: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D00_m6kSiZw
After Jessica Cruz (Newest Human Green Lantern) frees the League from the Five's bonds, Superman flies from Earths Surface to the Sun before the Eye has reacahed it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D00_m6kSiZw&t=188s Conservative estimates suggest that at the absolute most it took him only 3 minutes for him to do this, and considering that both the 3 minute timeframe was given to the eye specifically and that Superman was being held captive before Jessica freed him from the Five, he more than likely took less than 3 minutes to fly from Earth's surface to the Sun.
That should be easy enough to calc, however the most impressive part of this feat was that Superman comes just short of catching the Eye before it detonates in his face; the explosion is quite big if I don't say so myself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D00_m6kSiZw&t=242s
Both Antvasima and I would greatly appreciate if one of you can calc how powerful that explosion was.
Description: In my thread, I argued since Hercules is considered 9-A because of toppling a big statue I argued since Conan hasseveralsimilarfeatsof strength he should be as well. However, Antvasima requested to have some proper calculations before anything can be determined.
So you can pick a feat (or feats) from above which you can calculate to see just how good they are.
Antvasima and I would appreciate the help very much.
Description: Atlus destroys the Moon of a planet with a similar environment to Earth. This scales to the other Cosmic Powers, as well as the strength of Chrovos, who they needed to band together to defeat. The feat itself is eerily similar (read: practically the same) to another Moon-shattering feat from the God of Darkness in RWBY, but I'm unsure if there are any variables I don't see that might change the exact scale of Atlus' feat.
- Darth Sidious shakes and flares the stars upon killing Darth Plagueis. > “Sprung from death, it unleashed itself in a powerful wave, at once burrowing deep into the world’s core and radiating through its saccharine atmosphere to shake the stars themselves.” > “Yellow eyes lifted to the night sky, he saw the trembling stars flare, and in the depth of his being he felt the power of the dark side anoint him.”
- He also causes the constellations to reform. > “His eyes sought and found an ascending constellation of stars, one of power and consequence new to the sky, though soon to be overwhelmed by dawn’s first light.” > “To some the stars and planets might seem to be moving as ever, destined to align in configurations calculated long before their fiery births. But in fact the heavens had been perturbed, tugged by dark matter into novel alignments.”
These feats have been in use for a while, but I think it’d be nice if they could have calcs backing them up.
As shown in the video (01:37 and 02:10), kayran can remove lurge chunks of the ruins of this hudge bridge. Geralt, by his own admission (04:19), can take hits from kayran.
My question is: what is kayran's Attack Potency and on what Durability level taking hits from it puts Geralt at?
As shown in the video (03:12), after hitting the bridge for the third time, the structure collapses on kayran, crushing the beast. Despite this (and despite having three of it's tentacles already choped of by Geralt), the beast is not only alive, but still fights back, throwing massive bulders with enough force to shatter them.
My question is: on what level of durability surviving the crash puts kayran and does Geralt's ability to chop off the beast's tentacles puts him on the same level of Attack Potency?
Importance/Priority: 2 (Affects all of Thanatos' statistics, and The Player's durability. Must be done in order to make profiles for both. Obscure verse with one profile at the moment.)
Name of the Verse/Character: Endless Ocean / Thanatos, The Player (Endless Ocean)
Brief Feat Description:The Player survives a direct tail slap from Thanatos with only minor injury. (Around the 8:52 timestamp.) Would entail pixel scaling for Thanatos' length from nose to the tip of the tail, based off of the John Dories in the background of this picture (The game says they're 30 centimeters in length in the Marine Encyclopedia, and they appear to be the same distance from the Player as Thanatos is), then using proportions to calculate how much a great white shark of that length weighs. After that, would need to analyze the video to determine the velocity of Thanatos spinning around and hitting the Player (assuming Thanatos spins around in a perfect circle with the tip of its head at the center), in order to calculate the kinetic energy of Thanatos tail-slapping the Player.
EDIT: I've figured out Thanatos' length based off of pixel scaling, and an estimate for weight based off of Megalodon length and weight. I will be writing a blog post for these shortly. All that's needed now is an analysis of the video to determine how fast he spins around, hits the player, and a calculation for the kinetic energy of the tail-slap.
Feat: Leylin creates a continent that is bigger than our Planet over a period of 10 to 15 days but in the process of creating it has vibrations that can be felt for a range of 100,000km. I have tried and calculated the moving of the rocks but I don't know how the summoning of lava from the seabed works and the effect of vibrations. The entire information can be found here -BLOG.
Brief Feat Description: By playing bongos, Timmy's Dad causes a "bongoquake".
Effects include: Knocking a water-filled fishbowl off of a nightstand, setting off car alarms, creating a hole big enough for a house to fall into, & shaking things enough that Timmy & Chloe (Near the source.) are bouncing on the ground in a way that Chloe describes as both tickling & hurting at the same time.
He later plays the bongos undersea (At least one while within a space with air.) & causes underwater rock slides, disrupts whales' sonar, breaks an undersea pipeline.
Please be patient and wait, this is optional after all.
Thank you so much ❤️ honestly that means a lot.
He is not really doing any calc to, he just saided to wait. But i am willing to help. I'm no calc group member, but i know how to calc some things. Just post the feats in question
I know he just said to wait,I never said he's doing calc too I was thanking him but it's okay I'll thank you too for helping me and replying to me people like you is why I love vsbattle always willing to help thanks I need help with this
Priority:3, at most 2 (Supporting feat for the Carrion Spike's laser cannons, which scale to virtually every other capital ship's laser cannons in the series. If this reaches into the megaton range, it'll probably be priority 2).
At just under 150 meters in length, the corvette fit neatly between the old Judicial cruisers and Corellian Engineering’s new-generation frigates. Heavily armed with turbolasers, ion cannons, and proton torpedo tubes, and featuring a Class One hyperdrive that made it the fastest ship in the Imperial Navy, the Carrion Spike had been designed specifically for him—and to meet many of his personal specifications—by Sienar Fleet Systems.
Description: A character named D’compose pulled an entire town underground. It happened off screen and the town itself was shown throughout the show but never in its full size nor in any way that’s actually scale-able. So I just assumed the next best thing to do for something like this is to see if someone could take the size/mass of a really small town (just to be safe) and calculate how much energy it would require to move said town (to simulate it being pushed/pulled of course.)
Feat: The White Witch disintegrates a huge door with a spell (Now with a picture since we found one):
They came at last into a hall larger and loftier than any they had yet seen. From its size and from the great doors at the far end, Digory thought that now at last they must be coming to the main entrance. In this he was quite right. The doors were dead black, either ebony or some black metal which is not found in our world.
They were fastened with great bars, most of them too high to reach and all too heavy to lift. He wondered how they would get out. The Queen let go of his hand and raised her arm. She drew herself up to her full height and stood rigid. Then she said something which they couldn't understand (but it sounded horrid) and made an action as if she were throwing something towards the doors. And those high and heavy doors trembled for a second as if they were made of silk and then crumbled away till there was nothing left of them but a heap of dust on the threshold.
Feat: Carmelita Fox blows up a gigantic steel wall with her Shock Pistol at the end of Sly 3 (could be around 30 feet wide and 20 feet tall based on how tall Carmelita is idk)
Priority: 1 (applies to every major mecha/monster)
Feat: A mechasaurus violently erupts two volcanoes from a good distance away from them underground (it is possible that one of these is the real life Mt. Asama considering how that is where the Saotome Institute is nearby and that is also where the mechasauruses are trying to attack
Since the size of the large monster would be needed to determine the size and subsequently mass of the cliff it smashes, at the 2:30 mark he and Carmelita (The fox lady) wind up very close to one another, and her height is 4'5.
