  • You still on by any chance?

Edit: On second thought, i'll have to ask later. Going to sleep soon after doing some stuff....

      Loading editor
    • I am now...

Alrighty... Well I need to go take a shower... so yeah...

        Loading editor
    • Yup....well i'll ask ya later or when you come back online another day so have a good shower...

        Loading editor
    • So I'm on now...

        Loading editor
    • What up, dude?

        Loading editor
    • Well my exams have been postponed, my jaw's mostly healed and I had a great night's sleep so it's been pretty good...

But anyhow you wanted to ask me something right...

        Loading editor
    • 1) Why? 2 and 3) Hell yea. B)

Are any of these correct according to our current AP system chart?

      GAU-8 Avenger

      Caloris Basin Impact Event

        Loading editor
    • Shipment for some new equipment got delayed...

Hmmmm... the first one should probably be changed to Tier 9-B...

As for the second let me go and check the values a little for that one....

        Loading editor
    • I see.

Yeah that makes sense given the powergap between the low and high end of Wall level.

      Aite.

Also, do you know if wikipedia has a page regrading about this?

        Loading editor
    • Alrighty just came back after checking... For the Caloris Basin Impact Event it's better to keep it as unknown as that thing occurred nearly 4 billion years ago and I can't find any article that suggests that a 100 km meteor crashed into it. I also don't know how one could determine that a single meteor caused it as it occurred a really long time ago.

So until someone provides a a reliable link for confirmation of that it's better to keep it as unknown...

Hmmm... let me see if I can find that...

        Loading editor
    • Thanks, man. Yeah i didn't know if i should change it based partly on the OBD (which apparently it was listed as a Large Country over there) or just leave it alone...

So yeah, i'll do just that.

      Okay, thanks again.

Also you don't mind asking for Confirmation? What's up with these two here?

When your done with those, i wanna ask: How's your day today?

        Loading editor
    • Hmmmm... if the OBD and us have a similar Attack Potency chart then I'm surprised they'd rate 1.3×10^26 Joules as Large Country Level...

And as for the Nuclear Stockpile thing I can't find the total global uranium-235 resources usage on wikipedia so I don't think there's a page for the world's nuclear arsenal on Wikipedia...

Ok who is making these pages... they're not bad but it would've been better if they were more dedicated...

And once again let me go and check...

My day... we'll I'll answer that a little bit later after I finish looking over those pages...

        Loading editor
    • Yeah it's still rated there as such.

Really? I recall seeing a page that mentions it but now i can't find it. Well it's find, dude. I'll try to find it myself, eventually.

Thanks again, man. Your a big help cause i'm just trying to wonder if they are as accurate as what's been written in real life (in the sense that we humans have info of what actually happened and what the details are regarding those events).

      Take your time...

        Loading editor
    • Hmmmm... I'm thinking the page you thought of is the total global uranium-238 resources usage. They're pretty different even if they have the same name at the start. Well if ya do find the page link me to it...

No problem... And for the Theia Impact... from what I'm seeing an astronomical body the size of mars crashed into earth around 4.5 billion years ago with an initial impact velocity below 4 km/s...

      Well quick calc...

Assuming the planet which collided with the earth had a mass equivalent to that of Mars we have...

      Mass = 6.39e+23 kg

      Velocity = 4 km/s or 4000 m/s

Energy = (0.5x6.39e+23)x(4000)^2 = Around 5.112e+30 Joules or around 1.22 Zettatons of TNT...

      So that one seems legit...

As for the Tunguska Event... Well the wikipedia page says

"Early estimates of the energy of the air burst range from 10–15 megatons of TNT (42–63 PJ), to 30 megatons of TNT (130 PJ),[7] depending on the exact height of burst estimated when the scaling-laws from the effects of nuclear weapons are employed.[7][8] However, modern supercomputer calculations that include the effect of the object's momentum estimate that the airburst had an energy range from 3 to 5 megatons of TNT (13 to 21 PJ), and that more of this energy was focused downward than would be the case from a nuclear explosion."

So that one seems alright as well although it would be best to change the Tier to low 7-B...

    • Will try to, dude.

      Damn. That power though. :O

Really? So first it was assumed/esitmated to be 10 to all the way up to 30 MT, but then became as low as 3-5 MT? Huh.....

Anyways, that's about it for more "trying to find stuff and see how OP they really are".

      Now...casual talk time.

    • Alrighty...

Ho... "trying to find stuff and see how OP they really are" interesting... I'll show a couple of things for that if ya want...

Ok then... so you asked how my day was going... well I'd have to say that it's been alright. I don't like the fact that my exams got postponed but besides that everything's pretty good. What about you?...

        Loading editor
    • Nvrmind. I DID found this link that i was talking about. Sadly it only shows what the total yield is but it doesn't link me to it. Here.

If you have time, go for it.

I see. Well i just found out that while having to possibly do my summer semester late this month, my summer break is boring and quiet. So........yeah. It's aite but it's quiet and boring though.

        Loading editor
    • Ho... so that's the link you were talking about...

      Alrighty...

Summer break being boring and quiet... This is the first time I'm hearing this but you have plans for the summer right? Such as going to the beach, chilling in the mountains, excreta...

        Loading editor
    • Yeah, i think that might be the one. I did thought there was a page for it though...hmm...

Nah, not really. Wish i did but i can only go to places in California like say, Santa Cruz or this place called Roseville and such...

        Loading editor
    • Hmmm... indeed that doesn't really sound exciting but then again I don't really have a lot of interesting plans either so we're together in on this I guess (^_^)...

Btw have ya seen Kav around the past few days....

        Loading editor
    • Hehe, yeah man. Same boat indeed.

Well....he's been really busy. He told me it had to do with some test examinations he has to by around July 20th....

        Loading editor
    • I see... I was wondering why he kinda went missing...

      So...

        Loading editor
    • Yeah. It's really serious, i can see why. Though honestly there was times that he was needed on the site here too, however...

        Loading editor
    • Indeed...

So now what to talk about?...

        Loading editor
    • Ever seen any good movies this year? So far i've seen Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens. You?

        Loading editor
    • i see that u r discussing coloris impact stuff ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

      here u go

havent read all of it but on section 2.1: Basin-forming impact, it gives a rough approx of impact being on the order of ~10^27 J

      Continent lvl ( ͡o ͜ʖ ͡o)

and as for tunguska: i think i made the page b4 some tier revivisons so that may need to change

    • Dude, you were too slow as heck~ @TLT1

        Loading editor
    • @Cross: Yep... Wasn't quite to my taste however...

@TLT1: I already know of the energy yield... only question is are ya certain that a single meteor caused that and if so what method did ya use to determine it...

      i didnt use any method

i found the valu on wiki at first

but now it has a need citation tag by now

and then i loked at the mit paper about it

for the method; u cud luk thru it if u want 2

    • I know how they got the energy yield... what I don't know is that how they got that only a single meteor caused that as the event occurred several billion years ago and as far as I know there no possible way to determine that a single meteor fell there and caused that as it's equally likely that it was formed over time with various events...

From a quick glance I see that they assumed that for the crater to be that large the meteor would have to be at least 100 km in diameter given the impact velocities on Mercury... Only question is one meteor caused that... based on what proof...

A beam of energy that produces 1 J/s can destroy a mountain if given enough time but that doesn't mean the beam = Mountain level...

        Loading editor
    • What's written at the beginning of the PDF file... "Striking geological features on Mercury’s surface have been linked to tectonic disruption associated with the Caloris impact and have the potential to provide information on the interior structure of Mercury. The unusual disrupted terrain located directly at the antipode of the 1500-km-diameter Caloris basin could have plausibly formed as a consequence of focused seismic waves generated by the massive impact event."

proves that this isn't even certain...

        Loading editor
    • indeed, it is hard to tell that it was a single impact after billions or hundreds of millions of years

        Loading editor
    • Which is mostly why I'd prefer it being unknown at least in Attack Potency until there's some way to confirm this... For the tier well meh...

        Loading editor
    • well in that case, i think it is better to simply delete the page

        Loading editor
    • Perhaps...

        Loading editor
    • either that

      or

      "unknown, possibly 6-A"
