Well Abel can easily one shot his main form with void manip and is higher and he has AP. And if Oyrx dosen't have any resistances to it Abel can probably kill his true form with conceptual manipulation
The main resistance negating property of Taking is that the vast majority of beings affected do it willingly and of their own volition, meaning that resistance just doesn't matter. Oryx can still force it on people, which uses Sword Logic resistance negation rather than it's own afaik.
I'm fairly certain that Oryx's resistance negation is well above baseline, especially for Taking since it comes directly from The Deep which itself is far, far, far greater than anything in Destiny, including this Oryx.
It wouldn't need to. I mean yeah but Oryx has basic existence erasure. infinitely weaker 2-A demons can erase from even use nonexistence erasure, get hit with it and be fine. Abel would be immune to the ability
"Arguably Oryx's most useful ability, erases other beings from existence and brings them back empowered and possessed by the darkness, totally subservient to the will of Oryx." verbatim from the profile.
Abel resists the passive taking or even if he doesn't Oryx cannot take him because the Axiom overrides his resurrection by resurrecting Abel then Abel probably stays out of range and snipes in the case that he doesn't resist. If he does resist he bypasses Oryxs resistence to conceptual manipulation with an Almighty Attack and erases him from existence and non-existence. So I vote Abel.
So Abel can one-shot a better version of himself + himself without any issues?
It's not step 1
It is the first thing that is done, but it does not inherently stop all the other shit from working if it doesn't. Literally every time Taking has been brought up in a match this has been the case, so no, Taking works.
I'm going off the file so what other people say isn't relevant.
It's as Yvel said. He needs to erase first to resurrect and control. He can't resurrect without erasing. He can't have full control without resurrection. So there is no other Abel. That's the last thing I'll say on this.
Tell that to Wokistan and WHYNAUT in several other matches.
There is 0 evidence that EE is needed for Taking to work. Zip, nadda, none. The only "evidence" any of you have managed to come up with amounts to "it sounds like it needs the EE to work, so it does and my word now supercedes that of people who know what the fuck they're talking about."
The profile doesn't even say that that's the first step. It says it erases them and that they are turned into Taken. He doesn't first erase you entirely and then make a Taken version of you. The erasure functions like a sort of corruption. Also the description on the profile is pretty old and may need a rework.
Fine then. Even if it only erases parts of you it still dosen't change that Abel is immune to EE so it wouldn't erase any of him
Ok so how exactly does that save him from the 2 layers of extremely potent resistance negation, corruption, law manipulation, conceptual manipulation, body puppetry, mind manipulation, reality warping, and possession
It seems like normal existence erasure cause that's all it says. And even if not its certainly not nonexistence erasure.
And i keep bringing up EE because it seems vital to use the attack. And hrm? Them being able to use megido dosen't undo the scaling. And its the fact that even vastly weaker beings can use resistance negation and they resist it as well
It doesn't actually contradict it, since the profile doesn't say it won't work without the EE. If you want proof you can look at the other Oryx threads, because I'm not going to post links because you dont believe me. I'm not even here to argue that Oryx wins, just to explain things and point something out if I think it's wrong.
