Hiiro was decided to be too strong because of a speed amp that blitzes his opponent squared in speed equal (as in blitzes people who blitzed him before) and all it takes is a second or two-long gesture. Along with this, he has immense versatility anyway, info analysis and a sword that ignores dura vs magic users.
Bender would have been the reserve but was also decided to be too strong due to some infinite duplication Jiggyhunter found, as well as combat applicable matter manipulation.
Being real honest here, i don't see Banjo winning if the summoning works like that, Yomi's AP is unknown at Town level but i can't say that's lower to the point where he can easily defeat her with a few grenades.
Though i'm not sure that her Astral attacks can outright negate invulnerability, it seems to me that negates stuff like resistance to fire, ice, etc for the attack.
Still, it's four against BK and this is base Banjo, so GG for now. I'll return tomorrow.
I mean, they negate in-verse invulnerability. It both hurts people simply immune to physical attacks (being "physical resistance" is a stat in-game, too) and people that should be immune by logic (slimes, ghosts, dimensionless horrors, etc.).
I see, so, i don't know how Yomi starts off in a fight so correct me if i'm wrong, she could start with her air manipulation, which i assume that can be dodged. I can see both characters starting off by attacking each other and getting closer as the fight progresses, but at some point they'll both be able to hurt themselves with Banjo having the edge on durability.
The main problem would be that even if Banjo manages to quickly kill her, she would resurrect and summon her warriors, and in order to avoid having to fight all four characters at the same time, they would likely choose to fly around and shoot from the air at the three girls. It wouldn't be easy with Yomi chasing them, but they are skilled enough to at least land a few shots and them, which should be enough to K.O if they are about baseline.
I see that they don't have the same resistances as Yomi, so fire manipulation or ice manipulation also could work with no problem.
I don't see Banjo having big problems on defeating Maeve and Ceri, but Sylvi would definitely be a problem with her magic.
I would like to know how Sylvi uses her magic (If she can revive people or make the status go up) before proceeding with her, then we can talk more about Yomi.
All of her attacks can be dodged, but stuff like storm are aoe attacks. Yomi would never get close tough. They fight with the standard tactic of mages staying at range, while melee fighters go melee.
She starts by summoning the three, not after she dies first. And the problem with taking a few shots is that they regenerate quickly. It isn't high level regen, but it's fast. And I don't think their eggs are much better than anything else they faced before as far as projectiles go.
She can't resurrect (unless you take optional abilities, but then Yomi can summon over 80 people) but Sylvi fires magic by... firing it. Says it's name and it gets thrown.
Back. Sure, the regen could be helpful, but if they are about baseline i doubt the regen would help them being blown from the grenades. Banjo has enough durability and regen to rush to them or use beak bomb to get where they are faster, homing eggs should also be helpful.
They don't really need to do much here, if some grenade eggs hits them it would be insta kill or something very close to it.
How Yomi's negation works? Would that prevent them from just activating it again or is it just for one attack?
The dude downscales from 24 kilotons while Yomi one-shots baselines... there is no way his attacks are one-shotting, or anything close to it.
Trying to rush attack just gets them blasted to hell and back, poisoned and inceased in ice at best.
Ceri and Maeve will be living shields, alternating to probably not get killed (not that they wouldn't get ressurected after the battle if they died), while Yomi and Sylvi just blast the two from afar really.
She channels holy energy into her attacks, negating all resistances, including "resistance" to blunt trauma or the elements for that attack... she can just use it multiple times tough, so that's not much of a problem.
Banjo got stronger in Nuts & Bolts, though it's not stated how much.
They being frozen wouldn't be a big problem if Kazooie uses her fire eggs to melt the ice, though resistance to poison is not listed so that would definitely be an issue.
Also, i remember that Gyro said that could only be one character per verse or duos so idk if three summons with comparable AP and dura could be allowed, i'll leave that to you guys. (That's why i said that about the summoning in the last thread.)
But yeah, if they oneshot baselines then i don't see Banjo winning this one.
