    Hey Lex.

Remember when I asked that I might have needed your calculation expertise on the Nep Threads?

    I need your help...
    ~ Dr Neo Cortex

I'm going to send you two scans from The Spectacular Spider-Man, and I want to find out two things that are relative to their respective screenshots.

    1. AP/Lifting Strength: For the first one, I want to find out the AP for Spidey, when he lifted a giant machine that he was just barely able to lift.

    2. Range: This one is a bit more easier (I think?), I just need to find out the range of Symby Spidey's webbing from the bridge that his webs were attached to.

If you are able to do this, it would make me publishing his profile go a lot more smoother, and I'd really appreciate it.

Here are the scans. If you need short GIFs which demonstrate the feat to analyse more frames (if the one I've taken isn't good enough), then please give me a shout.

      Yeah, I remember.

      1. What kind if machine is that?

      2. Ok then, what is the size of spidy? Also, this one doesn't need a blog and be evaluated.

        Loading editor
    • 1. It's unknown what machine it is, it fell down on Spidey as the base was collapsing.

      2. I'm not that sure myself, would you like me to post a full body scan (if I can find one) of him?

        Loading editor
    • 1. Literally nothing of information about the machine?

      2. There is no wiki of this show? If not, then how old is he?

        Loading editor
    • 1. No, but I do believe seeing him do a similar feat in the comics... I'll see tomorrow if I can find it. 2. There is, but iirc it doesn't have Spidey's exact measurements. (He is in his older teen years, but he's still in high school)

Gtg, I'll talk more about this tomorrow. Nighty night.

He'd need to either use his PC (assuming that the ban doesn't affect other devices that attempt to log on to the same banned account) or wait for the account to be unblocked.

But wow though, how did he get marked for spam?

      >Your previous reply

      1. Who knows? There was a page in the comics where almost the exact same scenario happened to Spidey and it gave more detail as to what it was and how much he was lifting iirc. I'll look for it regardless.

      2. Yep, that's correct.

      1. I know, but this scene is almost directly referencing that page from the comics, when I find it, then you'll know that we're safe.

      2. Yeah, should be simple.

One more thing (I'm adding this for Symby Spidey's Key):

Does this look like the Symbiote (Venom) is resisting Sound? Should I add "Resistance to Sound Manipulation" as one of Symby Spidey's abilities from this? (As the Symbiote gives Black Spidey that weakness as well, I think he should scale from Venom to this)

      What do you think:

At the very end of the GIF, where he grabs the baseball bat as Spidey smacks it against the lockers the third time. (It is also seen in the comics that Venom is able to build some tolerance towards Sound with repeated exposure)

The second huuuuuuuh, I will have to ask Fellow Chosen.

The third one is for range as well? Also, the previos one have a result of 53.9303 m, isn't fully exact but is a good estimated.

      The four is for lifting?

      Ok.

        Loading editor
    • 1. This is more or less just proof that the symbiote was enhancing his powers.

      2. Sure.

      3. Yep.

      4. Yep.

Also, would you call this Shapeshifting or Biological Manipulation? (Based both on the picture and my explanation)

      SymbioteSpideyShapeshiftBiologicalManip
I'm leaning more towards the latter due to the Symbiote being able to, generally, be able to heal its hosts at a much faster rate, and can even permanently bond with the host's DNA. Hell, it even used Peter's body whilst he was sleeping to fight the Sinister Six at one point (and whereas Spidey didn't stand a chance against them originally when he fought them whilst he was awake with the symbiote on, the Symbiote stomped them when it had full control)
        Loading editor
    • 1. Ok then.

      2 Yeah.

      3. Ok then, it should be more easy than the first.

      4. Ok then.

Not sure, the healing isn't necessary for the Biological Manipulation, but doesn't Symbiote havet those powers in the comics as well?

        Loading editor
    • Cool, so we're all sorted for now until we got those quick calcs sorted.

Yes, it does, and it even has more powers on top of those in the comics.

        Loading editor
    • Yeah.

The one of the comic doesn't have Biological Manipulation, it have trasformation.

        Loading editor
    • Yep.

Already checked Venom's profile, and I saw that.

I don't see how the Symbiote is not counted under Biological Manipulation, seeing that it can permanently bond with the DNA of its host, and can even transform the host into a liquid-like goo (as seen in the Spider-Man Unlimited TV Show), so either it's Body Control, or Biological Manip. (The original author of the profile/somebody could've forgotten to add it, who knows)

        Loading editor
    • But, for the sake of safety, I'll just go with Body Control, Shapeshifting and Camouflage.

    • Still trying to download the thing.

      I see.

Yeah, it should be any of the two. I guees is time for you to make a CRT about it when you have all the information.

        Loading editor
    • Actually, I have a question.

I don't think you've made any profiles yourself, but you might know the answer...

How do I upload a profile when I'm all finished to the site?

      >CRT

      Perhaps.

I guess I could ask a quick question on Biological Manipulation for the Symbiotes in the Q & A Threads... Although if Venom doesn't have it, and he's been revised already recently, I doubt that I should ask, otherwise it would have already been added.

        Loading editor
    • I didn't get the question.

You go to the add things aside of the number and put the name and stuffs.

Or are you trying to say another thing?

      Maybe, maybe not.

        Loading editor
    • Never mind, I think I know where.

So, do I just upload it when I'm done without saying a word?

Or do I have to go to a special thread to get it authorised and then when they give me permission to upload it, I do it?

Yeah, I'll just leave Biological Manip out of this for now.

        Loading editor
    • Ok then.

Yeah, if it doesn't touch an already made profile; if the creation of one change another then CRT comes first.

But be sure that everything is good done with the scaling and stuff.

      Ok.

        Loading editor
    • I don't think T.S.S.M has really changed any of the recurring feats, so I don't think a CRT is required. We'll see, anyway.

Apparently, that "machine" he lifted in the first 3 scans wasn't really a machine at all. It was just some random debris made from Iron that collapsed on top of him, and it is more or less referencing this: https://imgur.com/a/p4y9k

(This was already calculated in a Death Battle episode, so I'll go and find it to find his lifting strength)

      Alright.

        Loading editor
    • Ok then.

Are you sure is it the same?

(You still need to post it in blog format and stuff.)

      Period.

        Loading editor
    • 'Kay.

Looks like it, T.S.S.M doesn't really state any difference, and the set-up towards the feat is almost identical.

If you want something that's even more similar, the same feat is shown again in a later issue of "The Amazing Spider-Man":
      Strength1
      Strength2
      Strength3

(Okay, fair enough, but what do I do with it?)

^ Sorry to ask this, I've just never done this before...

    • ^

Apparently, a lot of people are saying that's either equal to or (slightly) more than 10 tons.

      I'll go with the former.

        Loading editor
    • I see, you will have to put this explication in the blog as well.

(With "what do I do with it?" you mean?)

You have the calc by now or is just the people saying stuff?

        Loading editor
    • This was calculated many times, and even Marvel officially stated somewhere that Spider-Man's maximum lifting strength is 10 tons.

(Although in later issues and alternate media, he has gone beyond that in very extreme circumstances)

        Loading editor
    • Yeah, but you need to post the calc here and give credits for it to be evaluated. Also, it shouldn't scale if it was done by another Spidy, this one need the calc of his own.

      (I see.)

(With "what do I do with it?" you mean?)

        Loading editor
    • Alright, I'll quickly look back on the Spidey 2099 vs Batman Beyond video, as that is the video which establishes base Spidey's maximum strength (including that iron debris that we keep mentioning)

      (I see. x2)

(I meant as in where do I post it, what do I include, etc.)

From 17:56 - 18:38 is where Spidey's two strongest feats are mentioned.

        Loading editor
    • I see. But since it was made by another version of Spidy then it shouldn't scale, so we need to calc it anyway.

(The blog option like the one you made the HDN one, then you put there the calculation with the information, scans and stuffs, then after that you public it the calc eval thread.)

        Loading editor
    • Fair enough, so do you have any ideas as to how we're going to calculate this thing, or should we get the calc group to assist?

      (Alright, I see.)

        Loading editor
    • For AP, I'd say that this Spidey is 9-A. And possibly higher with the Symbiote.

After all you've seen so far, do you agree?

        Loading editor
    • If it's only a debris made of iron, then we can use the rectangle volume equation scaling it with Spidy's face and using the density of iron to find the mass, maybe with some hollowness to be safe.

If it's really made of iron, that's it.

(Yeah, it's simple, it's just me who add those unecessary GIFs; you just can put the thing like: I'm going to calc this feat. "insert numbers", this is the result.)

Dunno, I'm always reluctant to give tiers without calc or scaling.

      Huh?

      (I see, ok then.)

I mean, how many thing you post to him to be 9-A?

        Loading editor
    • The first two lines were supposed to be joined together (I was complimenting you being good at maths)

      (Good. x10)

Because BatmanBeyondBlows > The Spectacular Spider-Man in terms of lifting strength.

And Batman Beyond is ranked 9-A, so there's no point in Spidey being above him in AP if Bats can lift more (200 tons compared to 130 - if we're using the same feat from the comics).

Although, we still need to calculate that feat I gave you, so I'll keep Spidey's Tier at 9-A (and possibly higher with the symbiote) for the time being until it's done.

    • I see. (Boiyo, make the correct assumptions >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 90 % of the calcs in this wiki)

      (Huh)

I didn't get this; you can't compare them in tiers together with lifting strength as people who are Shit Tier Level Fodder in the latter are above other in the former, and other stuff.

The first one? Because it can't scale to AP if he doesn't do that normally.

      Here is the calc:

      Spidy's Lifting Strength
      Man: 175.7 cm

      1.757 m * 44 = 77.308 / 100 = 0.77308 m

      Man’s arm = 0.77308 m

      0.77308 m / 123.37 px = 0.006266353246 m/px

      386.69 px * 0.006266353246 m/px = 2.423136137 m

      78.41 px * 0.006266353246 m/px = 0.491344758 m

      5 px * 0.006266353246 m/px = 0.031331766 m

      50 px * 0.006266353246 m/px = 0.313317662 m

      7.71 px * 0.006266353246 m/px = 0.048313583 m

      V = l * w * h

      V = 2.423136137 m * 0.031331766 m * 0.491344758 m = 0.037303451 m^3

      V= 0.037303451 m^3 * 2 = 0.074606902 m^3

      V = 2.423136137 m * 0.048313583 m * 0.313317662 m = 0.03668022 m^3

      V = 0.074606902 m^3 + 0.03668022 m^3 = 0.111287122 m^3

      D = 7800 kg/m^3

      M = V * D

      M = 0.111287122 m^3 * 7800 kg/m^3 = 868.0395558 kg

      Not Bad

Cool, so we've established Class 5 for Spidey in terms of Lifting Strength. Nice work!

Now, I still need to think what I'm going to do with his AP...

    • Np~.

      Thanks.

Should I put it in a blog now?

      Take your time.

        Loading editor
    • Yeah, whenever you feel like making it, go for it.

I will. I'm thinking of just looking at the general fight scenes and judging a tier from that. (I predict that the first 3 scans I gave you will be enough to get him into 9-A)

      Which questions?

        Loading editor
    • Which one of Purple Heart you think is the better? As they have small differences.

      This one, and this things.

        Loading editor
    • Also, how good was Spidy with the iron debris in the op?

        Loading editor
    • He struggled to budge it at first and was about to give up and let himself drown with the iron debris weighing him down, but when he saw Gwen Stacy still knocked out unconscious, that gave Spidey a massive amount of motivation.

After gaining it, he immediately tried to lift it with his maximum strength (which also tore some parts of his costume in the process) and was just barely able to push it out of the way.

        Loading editor
    • I see, I was going to calc that in few.

And this 100% can't be used for AP.

        Loading editor
    • Alright.

I see, thanks for informing me.

        Loading editor
    • Yeah, the calculation page say this:

"However, lifting should generally not be used to calculate Attack Potency unless it is a fast, explosive form of lift (for example: snatch, clean-and-jerk, etc.). This is based on the biomechanics behind how human type characters attack. Unlike a punch, a kick, or most other types of attacks, a lift is a slow sustained motion which allows for many more muscles fibers to be recruited into the movement more easily, generating much more energy than a fast movement used in combat. Lifting movements also allow the body's tendons to help out by storing the energy, then releasing it in a sudden burst, acting like a spring. If we use real world ratios, when the world's heaviest deadlift is compared to the world's most powerful punch, the deadlift has nearly 5 times more energy, demonstrating the disparity between the two types of movements."

        Loading editor
    • Well, we still have that feat as a supporting feat for lifting strength regardless, so it's fine.

After I play a bit of RB;3 I'll take a look at his fight scenes again, and we'll see if we can distinguish something from him.

        Loading editor
    • Yeah.

      Ok then.

      The other questions?

        Loading editor
    • To clarify...

The first question is about what I meant by something...

And the second one is where I was talking about being "stuck in the mud"?

        Loading editor
    • The first is the first, which one of the renders of purple heart look better lloking at them with the full size thing?

The other first, I say "huh?" because you use a quote of Gary King and I didn't get it.

      Yeah.

        Loading editor
    • As for the Purple Heart renders, I'd say the last one looks to be the best one.

        Loading editor
    • About the Gary King quote:

I was talking about being stuck, and you asked "How so?", so I responded with that quote.

        Loading editor
    • I see.

I see, but why you feel like that?

        Loading editor
    • Good.

Because I didn't know what to do about the AP until we discussed it further today.

Anyway, got any more questions before I go play RB;3?

        Loading editor
    • I see, and what about the OP? Because I was talking about that.

        Loading editor
    • That's what I was referring to.

        Loading editor
    • Yes, I wanted to use that feat for his AP and Lifting Strength, until you corrected me by telling me that is not how things work.

After you were talking to me about the blog, I had no idea what to do next, hence why I was "stuck in the mud".

    • Brilliant work, yet again. (As expected from our mathematician)

      Hmm...

The high-end I definately cannot use, as no other Spider-Man in existence has ever been able to lift that much. (With the possible exception of Captain Universe Spidey)

Even the Medium-End is pushing it a bit in terms of what I know... Tell you what, to make extra sure whether the medium one can or cannot be used, I'd like you to (sorry) calculate a Batman Beyond feat (which I'll post the scans for tomorrow). So far DB has calculated his feat to be 200 tons, but your answer could be different, so I'd like to see.

If the Medium-End turns out to be higher than Bats after your calc, then I'll have to stick with the Low-End one.

So, we compared Terry's height to the boulder, applied the density for limestone, and subtracted the weight reduced by underwater buoyancy to find the boulder weight's to be 192 tons."

They've pixel-scaled Terry's height to be approximately 375 pixels, and the Rock width to be 1314 pixels, but I'd like to see what you make of this.

    • I see.

      Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh.

      How tall is Terry?

        Loading editor
    • 178 cm. (Rounded)

        Loading editor
    • Ok then, I will see what I can find about that underwater buoyancy as the density of limestone at best is 2711 kg/m^3.

    • The calc is near the end of the video. (I already linked it here when talking about Spidey's 2 best feats)

      Hopefully that helps.

      Nighty' Night.

    • Ok then.

I will see what I can do.

      Good night.

        Loading editor
    • Ok, if they used the sphere volume equation, which is giving me 127.043053 m^3 with they own numbers, then that mass isn't the correct one.

      BB's Boulder
Going with that then they are saying that the thing is something like this, which is a no.--->
        Loading editor
    • Any luck so far?

        Loading editor
    • Huh?

        Loading editor
    • With the calc, you numpty.

        Loading editor
    • Yeah, but regarding what exactly? I made one version and is much lower, I was thinking in another one to see but I won't come close to they result. And I'm waiting for Fellow Chosen to see what he thinks, I know what he will say but is always better be sure of the things and have a second opinion.

        Loading editor
    • Regarding Bat's feat. As I said before, if it is lower than Mid-End Spidey's feat, then I def cannot use the Mid-End result. (I wouldn't just ask you to do an unrelated calc for nothing, y'know)

        Loading editor
    • Well, it's what I said. Why not? (I know, but you know as well that I always make sure of the things to not create misunderstandings.

        Loading editor
    • Alright, I see. (Of course.) Well, we'll wait for Shr0nk's input before I continue with Spidey's profile.

        Loading editor
    • But why you cannot use mid end depending of this feat?

        Loading editor
    • Because Mid-End is definitely pushing it a bit in terms of what I know the Spider-Men can do. And since I know that Terry as Batman is stronger than Spidey in terms of Lifting Strength, if the Mid-End is higher than what you and Shr0nk calculate, then I know I def won't be able to use it, hence why I've asked you to help me out with Bat's calc to see if DB was right.

        Loading editor
    • Not sure how can I explain the thing to you. Why Terry is stronger that Spidy in that regard?

    • ^ Yeah, I might have to go with the Low-End one. Do you agree with the calc, though?

        Loading editor
    • Huh, if I told you that the calc I made is even lower that the low end of spidyx then what would you think?

        Loading editor
    • Then I'd just have to accept the Low-End one anyway, as I have nowhere else to look to apart from the comics, which looks like Comic Spidey has lifted more with the pics I've shown you already than Bats did in that underwater scene.

        Loading editor
    • Yeah, this one is more accurated.

        Loading editor
    • Alright, thanks.

(I'll work some more on Spidey's profile asap, but I gotta go to help out, brb)

        Loading editor
    • Np~ I guess.

So, is it fine to make the blog for both calcs without issues with BB?

(Ok, have fun and take care.)

        Loading editor
    • Hehe~

I guess. Just use the Low-End calc as your final answer for your calc.

(Oh, I will have fun doing house things... See ya' later though!)

Ok then, but I will put the other ends as well to see what a calc member thinks.

(Do it with music, you will see things different.)

      Good idea.

KagariHmph(I always do boring stuff with music.)

Well, going to start immediately, so I'll seriously get going this time. See ya'.

Side Note: Also, I just realised that Rewrite isn't the first anime I've ever watched.

      Yes.

Remind me again, what was the first anime you've ever watched? Was it Naruto?

      So, something in mind?

    • Let's talk about this on the Nep thread.

        Loading editor
    • You have a gif of the first lifting feat in the OP?

        Loading editor
    • I wouldn't be able to post a GIF as the feat takes place a lot longer than 15 seconds, plus I think it would be more effective for you to see it in a video format anyway.

      Perhaps this might help:

      https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6ktx3x

(21:33 is where the scene for the feat begins)

        Loading editor
    • Don't worry, I can do something about that.

      Thanks.

        Loading editor
    • No probs.
