This is Baal's Vessel, the Large Mountain key, do not use magic in the same way as the Avatar. It still possesses duplication, status effect inducement, destruction, power nullification and link to the Nexus.
Game wise, is described to have Absolute Regeneration, so it recover half of the damage he received; but that is a power of the avatar, the vessel has no sheet and I doubt it can regen as much as its more powerful form.
As for status effect, he launch an attack that confuse the movement of the target, and drain the power of its target; the effect is temporal of course.
Physical strikes of Baal deform reality that destroy the existance of what they hit, he also has the power of Druaga that whose strikes are changed with negative energy that cause aditional damage (see it like the hakai attacks in DB but only the minor ones).
status effect may be a bit of a dousey, though Idk if this would count, but Dante was able to drink some beverage that's supposed to mess with people when they drink it without suffering the aftereffects, though that may not matter here.
the power drain can be countered by demon evade, and Devil trigger, both of which increases Dante's stats. Unless the power drain refers to health, the regen factor for devil trigger fixes that.
Also hmm, that EE strikes may be a hassle to deal with, but Dante might have a way around it. So Dante's devil trigger does more than just increase his stats, it alse makes enemies float in the air without any control over what they can do while he goes into town with them.
The status effect is not biological related, not cause pain nor damage, so regen nor resistant to poison would oppose resistance to it. The power do not make the target weaker, if not that decrease it amount of power (like decreasing its magic and ki supply), so rather than make someone weak just make it unable to perform any special ability.
Not sure how those triggers works, does it surpend someone in the air? those it stop someone that can fly? Did I read that well?
yeah, so his gravity ability works on both grounded enemies and flying enemies. There's also some occasions where he time stops with it as well, though that's mostly for gigantic enemies. Don't ask me how that even works, that's how the game functioned
Welp, this version as Baal do not have any defense against that, although not sure if it still can attack in that state. It can still duplicate, although that means it divide its abilities between the two (into physical and ranged).
Dante has experience fighting more than one version of the same enemy multiple times, like the dream walkers, who are a great counter to a good chunk of his abilities and weapons, though he can be able to either overpower them, or outsmart them.
Fair enough, although smart is difficult since Baal is connected to the nexus of souls, a place where the human conciousness exist, he known everything humankind known (not mind read, just it have access to all that knowledge).
hmm, Idk if that would help since Dante is a nephilim, which makes him part angel and demon. No human in the DmC world knows about nephilim aside from Kat, who is a special human since she can interact with both worlds.
