Summary
The Wheel of Time is an epic fantasy saga written by Robert Jordan and finished by Brandon Sanderson. It consists of 14 volumes, in addition to a prequel novel and two companion books. It is known for its huge number of named characters, deep worldbuilding, and complex magic system.
The books in the series are The Eye of the World, The Great Hunt, The Dragon Reborn, The Shadow Rising, The Fires of Heaven, Lord of Chaos, A Crown of Swords, The Path of Daggers, Winter's Heart, Crossroads of Twilight, Knife of Dreams, The Gathering Storm, Towers of Midnight, and A Memory of Light. The prequel is called A New Spring and should be read in publication order after Crossroads of Twilight.
Power of the Verse
The Wheel of Time has an extremely wide range of power, from wall level Shadowspawn and blademaster-level humans, to powerful channelers, up to multiversal cosmic entities. Channelers can vary hugely in power depending on their natural capacity for holding the One Power, as well as whether or not they have access to angreal or sa'angreal, objects that provide exponential boosts in Power.
