Lizard FA
I spent my life as a scientist trying to create a world with no weaknesses, no outcasts. I longed to create stronger human beings, but that doesn't exist. Humans are weak, pathetic, backward-minded. Why be human if we can be much more? Faster, stronger, smarter. This is my gift to you.
~ The Lizard

Trust me, Peter. When you try to fix people, there are always consequences.
~ The Lizard to an alternate Peter Parker

Summary

One of Oscorp's leading scientific minds and Gwen's mentor, Doctor Curtis Connors used to work alongside Peter's father, Richard Parker, and they were engineering a revolutionary serum to re-grow limbs and human tissue, which would change the lives of millions — including that of Connors himself, who lost his right arm. Richard, however, disappeared and was found dead taking a good part of the research with him, rendering Connors unable to finish the project by himself — until Peter entered the scene.

With assistance from Peter, Curtis was able to recreate the serum, and injected himself with it. The serum however, rapidly transformed Connors into a hulking, reptilian monstrosity with a misled goal, to transform other beings into a creature like him. Thus the Lizard was born, being the first supervillain for the world to see.

As of Spider-Man: No Way Home, The Lizard was brought into the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a result of Peter Parker tampering with a spell by Doctor Strange.
