The Doppel of Silence. Her form is that of a cuckoo. This Doppel is a replica of silence. When her soul gem turns black, Iroha's hair transforms and this Doppel reveals herself. This Doppel, which has a timid nature, silently covers her ears and tries to cover up everything by using a cloth.

The Doppel of silence. Its form is a cuckoo. While still searching for her lost sister, the master of this emotion is also slowly progressing on her journey to accept herself. Combined with how her heart has leapt in the glow of the summer sun, her Doppel has thus taken on a somewhat frivolous appearance. One can see how the Doppel’s robes and mast have been affected by her mood; really, one may even go so far as to say it’s being heavily swayed by its master’s spur-of-the-moment emotional state. A surface-level change, in short. Though it’s specialized for ocean battles, its master herself can’t swim, preventing it from making particularly nimble movements. It simply attempts to slay the enemies before it with an intense attack, using all the power it has available.

Summary

The primary protagonist of Magia Record, Iroha ventured to Kamihama City to discover why her sister has been erased from the memories of everyone. Along the way, she befriends the Kamihama girls and Madoka Kaname, as well as a baby Kyubey, while she fights off superior witches, new monsters known as rumors, and a magical girl cult.

Transformation into a Doppel Witch resets the corruption on the Soul Gem, restoring their stamina.

Range: She can be apart from her soul gem up to 100 meters. At least several kilometers with Energy Projection (Is considered to be more of a ranged magical girl, which likely would make her comparable to magical girls like Mami Tomoe or Homura Akemi. Using Strada Futuro, she fires several arrows at once, all which make a turn up into the sky to form a massive laser back down). Interdimensional with Extrasensory Perception (All magical girls can detect witches location from outside of their barriers) | Same as before, possible tens of kilometers with Fairwell Grief (Fired a blast that managed to not only reach past the sky but also reach Walpurgisnacht who was pushed back into the ocean.)

Weaknesses: Destroying her soul gem will kill her immediately and her Water Manipulation attacks can potentially backfire, as she doesn't know how to swim. Only lasts for a brief period of time as a Doppel Witch, however, this weakness has been retconned in the anime.

Intelligence: At least Average, possibly High (Is relatively okay by magical girl standards, but has shown to be capable of understanding the abilities' of enemies quicker than most experienced magical girls, and has been steadily fighting stronger and smarter enemies.) Doppel Witches generally have a mind of their own in addition to their 'Masters', however, it is usually equal to their magical girl form albeit more violent and bordering on the morally gray. | Decently Above Average (Has now been shown to be an adequent fighter expecially through all the experience gained in Arc 1. Defeated a key member of the Promised Blood.), likely High.

Notable Attacks and Techniques:

  • EX Skill: Protection of Outer Domain: In her Final Battle ver., she passively increases her own durability and negates attacks directly to her soul gem up to two times.
  • Connect: A Puella Magi's ability to bestow other magical girls abilities in the midst of combat.
  • Strada Futuro: Means the “Path to the Future” in Italian. Fires one arrow that splits into hundreds to attack enemy. After blasting the enemy, they all fly into the sky to form a massive surprise laser attack while resurrecting a fallen ally and healing the entire team.
    • Due Anima: Fires a small orb of energy into the sky, which then returns back to create a massive shaft of light. Has the same abilities as Strada Futuro, but also massively increases Attack Potency and deals significant more damage to Witches.
  • Fairwell Grief: Originally created by charging up all the magical energy of the Kamihama populace, it fires a massive spear that the explodes into a glyph that creates a massive beam down from the sky. Massively increases Attack Potency and considerably reduces damage.
  • The Way I Swim: Iroha creates either a sea or massive pool of water, and with the aid of some kind of water circle, blitzes through the sea ramming into her opponent and seemingly creating some sort of underwater sonicboom. Afterwards, she becomes faster while dropping her enemy's durability.
  • Summer Doppel Giovanna: Doppel Giovanna flies up into the sky then creates a masssive pool of water, ramming down to her enemies, resulting in a massive boost to her speed and health (alongside allies, if any) and dropping her enemies' durability significantly.
  • Memoria: Grants the user several passive and non-passive abilities based on their memories. Can go through "Max Limit Breaks" to enhance the effects greatly.

  • Weapon Creation: Most Puella Magi are capable of creating weapons out of thin air using their magic. While most select specific weapons, some with a heightened mastery of their abilities can create different weapons with their own minor capabilities.
    • Telekinesis: On top of creating weapons, they can also control their weapons in the air and with no limit to how much at a time. The same applies to many weapons that they have enhanced.
  • Puella Magi Physiology: Because their bodies no longer harbor a soul, they effectively act like flesh puppets that have no real impact on the 'essence' of a magical girl. According to several interviews and in-series showings, a magical girl can have all their blood drained from their body and still fight with little impairment, or have their head torn off or shot through and still walk just fine.
    • Fusionism: When two opposing magical abilities (Like Fire Manipulation and Ice Manipulation) or opposing main abilities (Like a magical girl who wished for Creation and another who wished for Existence Erasure) combine their attacks, the result is an attack the multiplies in power. In addition, if two soul gems were to harbor the same body, the result can be them swapping control or fusing into one magical girl, albeit temporarily.
    • Extrasensory Perception: Magical Girls were shown to be capable of detecting despair and magic from within their cities as well as being able to telepathically communicate with one another. As of Magia Record, it is shown that their abilities extend well into other cities and is not limited to emotions or magic.
    • Doppel Witch Transformation: In the light of a new miracle, magical girls have now gained the ability to become a half-witch whenever their soul gem reaches maximum corruption, resulting in a Doppel Witch. Unlike normal witches, both the witch and the magical girl are in control of their respective bodies and in a short time will revert back into a magical girl. However, older magical girls have been stated to keep traits of their doppel form even after reverting, and the same for magical girls who use the transformation for too long.
  • Witch's Kiss: Witches can manipulate the mind on innocent bystanders by thought (not an actual kiss), often causing them to commit suicide or create suicidal cults. It has been generally potrayed to be able to effect groups of people at once, and one witch has even manipulated an entire fortress.
  • Barrier: The standard ability for most witches, the barrier is a small pocket universe that can greatly vary in terms of size made to protect the witch from the outside world, only accessible by magical girls or when witches allow access. They are based around the witch's former life's mental condition prior to dying and becoming a witch.
  • Familiar Summoning: Another standard ability, a witch can summon several familiars (or create alongside the barrier) to fight on her behalf. If they absorb enough life energy, they can become duplicates of the witch itself.
  • Absorption: A witch can passively absorb the life energy of those who enter their barriers. However, this is a rather lengthy process, so some witches tend to have an instant-absorption method, or simply absorb all of it by killing the enemy.
  • Reality Warping: A witch can manipulate reality to cause issues for their enemies. This has been shown from manipulating the outsides of the barrier to attack the enemy, preventing them from even entering, or manipulate unresistant enemies themselves.

  • Feats:

    • Managed to hold her own against Yachiyo Nanami for a while, although not for long and the latter was holding back. However, throughout the course of Magia Record, she becomes steadily stronger, as of Chapter 3, becoming capable of keeping up with Yachiyo Nanami.
    • When facing a strong witch in Chapter 3, she left an arrow full of her own magical energy to track down the witch later. (Intelligence Feat)
    • Alongside Yachiyo, Sana Futaba, Madoka Kaname, and Homura Akemi (Magia Record), she managed to defeat AI-Chan.
    • Alongside Yachiyo, she defeated Walpurgisnacht, a feat that only a few magical girls can manage.
