The TIE/fo space superiority fighter, often simply called the First Order TIE fighter, is a light starfighter manufactured by Sienar-Jaemus Fleet Systems for the First Order Navy’s Starfighter Corps. Like its spiritual predecessor, the TIE/ln used by the Galactic Empire, it is a basic no-frills starfighter lacking in many areas and meant to project the First Order’s military might and rely on sheer numbers to overwhelm the First Order’s enemies. However, because the First Order Navy treats is pilots as valuable resources rather than expendable cannon fodder, the TIE/fo is overall far better built and includes a reasonably powerful deflector shield generator.
Powers and Stats
Tier: At least 7-C
Name: TIE/fo space superiority fighter
Origin: Star Wars
Classification: Space superiority starfighter
Users: First Order Navy
Length: 6.69 metres
Height: 8.17 metres
Width: 6.34 metres
Material: Titanium alloy fuselage
Needed prerequisite for use: One trained pilot
Terrain: Space, Atmosphere
Attack Potency: At least Town level+ with its laser cannons (The L-s9.6 laser cannon mounted on this line is more powerful than the now outdated L-s9.3 model used on the likes of the TIE Interceptor and TIE Defender)
Speed: At least Transonic atmospheric speed (Never specified but likely at least as fast as or even faster than its imperial predecessor). Can accelerate continuously to Sub-Relativistic+ speeds in space (Should be more than capable of matching the realspace speeds of the likes of the Millennium Falcon)
Durability: At least Large Building level+ without deflector shields (Far better built than the imperial TIE/ln fighter). At least Town level+ with deflector shields (Equipped with deflector shielding a little less powerful than that of the T-70 series X-wing. Should be more than capable of taking a burst of laser cannon fire powerful enough to destroy something like a Kom'rk-class Fighter before depleting)
Range: Several kilometres with its laser cannons.
- Lacks a hyperdrive. This requires it to be ferried across interstellar distances by hyperdrive equipped carrier craft and thus reduces its overall strategic & tactical value.
- As with its imperial predecessor, solar array creates a large blind spot for the pilot.
