Summary
Kal-El (named Clark Kent by his adoptive parents) is a superhero known as Superman. He is an extraterrestrial hailing from the doomed planet Krypton, sent to Earth as a child to escape his home planet's destruction. He was found in his ship in a field outside of Smallville by Jonathan and Martha Kent and raised with high moral ideals, which he uses to fight evil and protect the innocent. In his civilian identity, he is a mild-mannered reporter working for the Daily Planet in Metropolis.
He is a founding member and the leader of the Super Friends, as well as its most powerful member. He is based on the Silver Age version of the character.
