Summary
The ability to summon various beings. The summoned beings may come from a distant place, a different plane of reality, a universe, etc. Also includes calling of undead, souls, energy beings or information beings.
Possible Uses
- Summoning material entities - In this case, the object already exists somewhere. It should be transferred to the right location. Includes dimensional manipulation, and the parts of necromancy that allow manipulation the bodies of the dead. The disadvantage is that after the destruction of the material body, such an ability would be of no use.
- Summoning intangible entities - In this case, summoning a soul or a spirit. Since it is an immaterial spirit initially, it can be summoned at any time and in any place. It is even possible to provide a tangible form (for example, instill within a suitable container or creating a body via manipulation of matter). The advantage of such summons is that the destruction of the material body will not be a deterrent. Moreover, the physical body might regenerate as long as the spirit occupies it.
- Summoning higher beings - Special spells, rituals, or specific manipulation that summons natural gods. This form of summoning is far superior to summoning regular spirits. The disadvantage of this type of summons is that the summoner control is much weaker, and mostly negligible. By and large, the summoner is forced to rely on the good will of the summoned being. If there is any change in their intention to help, the summoner cannot force them.
