Stranger Things is a television-format series created by the Duffer Brothers. It was released as a Netflix original series on July 15, 2016.
The show takes place in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana in the early-to-mid 1980s. The first season revolves around the disappearance of Will Byers, while the second season explores the repercussions of the mysterious events of season 1. The third season focuses on "forces of evil that are new." The unreleased fourth season will focus on a story outside of Hawkins.
Power of the Verse
While not a very powerful verse compared to most, the Stranger Things universe is a great deal stronger than most live action mystery shows. Most of the main regular citizens in the show reach Street level due to being decent athletes, and even then are in possession of a Wall Level spiked weapon capable of injuring the verse's more heavy hitters. Where the verse gets its power is the Hawkins Lab subjects and the residents of the Upside Down, who range anywhere from Wall level to City Block level, thanks to the Demogorgon and people who can injure such. The strongest person in the verse by far is the Mind Flayer, who reaches an impressive Multi-Continent level. Apart from Attack Potency, the verse's characters boast impressive Telekinesis, Electricity Manipulation, Precognition, Portal Creation, Plant Manipulation, and much more.
The video game series, however, is a similar yet different story. Every character in the verse is Wall Level and much more based around fighting, Eleven now possesses Electricity Manipulation and Energy Projection, and it is home to the Tentacle Hydra, who is one of the most haxxed characters in the entire franchise boasting Madness Manipulation, Mind Control, Possession, and more.
