“ | Raise buildings and sing songs in My Glory. In My name, pursue your arts and enshrine all Beauty. Let all people follow their every desire, sate their every hunger, and deny themselves no adventure. For it is in these things, and in other, that you will find the greatest pleasure, and it is through these things, and through each other, that you shall rise yourselves higher, even unto the steps of My Throne... You will take pleasure in all that is, though your bodies will break and your souls be forfeit. For I am Slaanesh, most jealous of Gods, and most demanding of lovers, and My Thirst for you shall never be sated... | „ |
~ The Satin Throne, Verses 1-7, from the Liber Chaotica. |
Summary
Slaanesh, also known as the Dark Prince, the Prince of Pleasure, the Lord of Excess, the Perfect Prince and even the Prince of Chaos, is the Chaos God of Pleasure, Passion, Excess and Decadence.
Slaanesh is the the Dark God dedicated to the pursuit of earthly gratification and the overthrow of all decent behaviour, as well as hedonism and amoral pleasure for its own sake. He is the God of Obsession, the Master of Excess in All Things, from gluttony to lust to megalomania. Out of all the pantheon, Slaanesh is the youngest of the Chaos Gods, for the complex emotions of erotic desire and decadence can only exist within the minds of intelligent races.
In one sense, Slaanesh is the embodiment of romantic passion and the desire to create vibrant art. Those that most openly express such emotions are often artists, craftsmen, dancers and the more flamboyant nobles of the southern realms. However, the Prince of Chaos is also the embodiment of hubris, pride, sensation, selfish pleasure and pain-as-pleasure. Every breath is an opportunity to take in a new scent. Each glass raised is a chance to savour a new flavour. On every battlefield, each sword blow can entice a never before heard scream of pain.
From his glittering palace in the Realm of Chaos, the Lord of Excess revels in each new sensation discovered. He guides and directs the mortal inhabitants of the world to go ever further in pursuit of new heights of sensation with no concern for the morality of their quest.

Name: Slaanesh, also known as the Dark Prince, the Prince of Pleasure, the Lord of Excess, the Perfect Prince and the Prince of Chaos
Origin: Warhammer Fantasy
Gender: No true gender, as it is perceived differently by multiple races. Will appear as whatever is most desirable to each individual. Most forms and depictions are either feminine or hermaphroditic

Classification: Chaos God, Warp God, God of Pleasure, Passion, Lust, Decadence, Hedonism, Sensation, Gluttony, Megalomania, and Desire (as well as perfection and the pursuit of bettering oneself)
Powers and Abilities:
- Immortality (Types 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 & 9)
- Regeneration (At least Low-Godly, likely Mid-Godly; Similar to their Daemons, their form in reality is merely a representation of their state in the Warp, should be able to reform their avatars after the complete destruction of their bodies[1]. Can likely continuously regenerate unless the abstract concept they represent is destroyed[2])
- Higher-Dimensional Manipulation (Able to corrupt and destroy the higher dimensional spaces of reality and the warp. Magic/Chaos is a higher dimensional energy[3])
- Chaos Manipulation (Aethyr in its purest form literally breaks down all physical laws returning them to the Void where they where created[4])
- Void Manipulation & Power Nullification (Aethyr in high concentrations, such as the amount manipulated by the Chaos Gods, breaks down a beings causality[5]/laws[5], concepts[5] and reality[5] erasing and returning these aspects to the Aethyric Void beyond creation. This Chaos from which they are formed breaks down all things in creation upon interaction)
- Subjective Reality (Chaos Gods warp the Realm of Chaos to reflect their mental state/ideals that they represent. Reality is reborn as fevered hallucinations and hopes and fears become real[4])
- Regeneration Negation & Immortality Negation (At least Mid-Godly, likely High-Godly, All Types; Some of the Skulls on Khorne's rings are those of lesser Gods, meaning the Chaos Gods can permanently kill lesser Aethyric Gods that should be able to regenerate from their concepts/back from the Void[4])
- Abstract Existence (Type 1; The Abstract state of Chaos exists as a vortex of energy that represents their related concepts[6], with their Avatars personifying the concepts their abstract states represent[5])
- Nonexistent Physiology (Nature Type 2, All Aspects; All Gods are 'Aethyric entities', the Aethyr [5] at its core has no definite existing physical feality of its own[5], Aethyr is the substance of the Void which transcends existence 'The Is' and non existence 'The Un'. Doesn't have a conventional mind, body or soul, nor can they be expressed with any information)
- Resurrection (Comparable to Khorne who regularly resurrects those with his mark)
- Mind Manipulation, Empathic Manipulation & Sound Manipulation (The sight of Slaanesh's form causes one to lose all sense of self, completely and utterly devoting themselves to it[7]. Radiates such a feeling of complete and utter peace caused by being in the presence of complete perfection, that no being has ever returned from the Palace of Pleasure to tell the tale[7]. The entrance of Slaanesh is accompanied by Unseen choirs which cause one to break down and cry due to their beauty[7])
- Madness Manipulation (Types 2 & 3; As the Realm of Chaos itself is mostly the creation of the Chaos Gods, it's madness inducing properties by extension apply to themselves as well[1]. Slaanesh can create wine so intoxicating it induces feelings of such euphoria that eating yourself and your comrades seems like the best meal you have ever had[7])
- Corruption & Conceptual Manipulation (Type 1; Chaos itself is a corrupting force. Can corrupt beings by applying their marks to them. Corrupts the Aethyric Void beyond both reality and the structure of the warp[3]. Able to corrupt the realms of the other Chaos Gods[1], formed out of the fears, thoughts and ideas that created them[5])
- BFR (Scales to Nagash who casted the city of Shadespire out into the Aethyric Void[8]. Likely comparable to Khorne was able to literally throw Skarbrand out of the Realm of Chaos[1])
- Fragrance Manipulation & Sense Manipulation & Memory Manipulation (Slaanesh is surrounded with an intoxicating musk that penetrates the flesh of all that pass through it, causing them to become highly sensitive to even the most gentle breeze. This perfume triggers vivid memories of ones most potent amorous encounters of the past[7])
- Illusion Creation (Capable of creating powerful illusions, so detailed they appear akin to dreams. Creating a tailored realm where one is endlessly seeking the next lofty ambition set before them, drawing them deeper and deeper into the illusion[7])
- Soul Manipulation (Able to draw in the souls of those around them and absorb them, adding it's power to their own[2])
- Portal Creation & Dimensional Travel (Although it cannot manifest it's full power outside the warp comparable to Khorne, who can open Portals into the Mortal Realm momentarily and even stick part of his sword thought them[9])
- Memory Manipulation (Passively exudes a 'forgetfulness' that draws in the hearts and minds of those around them[2]), Empowerment (Slaanesh is empowered by desire itself. Slaanesh, while the weakest Chaos God scares the other Chaos Gods, for they can see their own nature within what it represents[7])
- Power Bestowal (Can bless his followers with a mark that vastly increases their power/abilities[10])
- Shapeshifting (Its appearance is merely a projection of his greater consciousness[6])
- Size Manipulation (Can alter the size of his domain or Avatars on a whim[6])
- Creation (Can create endless hordes of Daemons from his own essence[1])
- Absorption (Can absorb abstract things and concepts such as the thoughts and emotions of humanity[4]. Consumed the entire Aeldari Pantheon during 'The Fall')
- Spatial Manipulation (The only definite spaces in the Realm of Chaos are those created by Daemons or The Chaos Gods[1]. The Chaos Gods corrupt space, turning it into an extension of their realm)
- Reality Warping (Via subjective reality; Through corrupting the fundamental structure of reality by remaking it in the image of their realms[1])
- Physics Manipulation, Time Manipulation & Gravity Manipulation (Easily able to alter and manipulate the fundamental forces of reality[1])
- Aethyr Manipulation (The Lore of Slaanesh)
- Non-Physical Interaction (Abstractions, Concepts, Information & Nonexistence; Chaos corrupts all things, can interact with existence[3], non-existence[5], information[11], technology[12], magic[13], physics[1], laws[2], Abstractions[14] and Concepts[5])
- Resistance Negation (Slaanesh's charms and charisma even effect his siblings despite their resistance to such powers)
- Transmutation (Able to create beautiful stones and coins that transmute those that pick them up into immobile golden statues[4])
- Pain Manipulation (Capable of forming sounds that inflict immense pain[15])
- Enhanced Senses & Analytical Prediction (Via Witchsight, which allows a user see the entire world even without their eyes, perceiving with perfect clarity the souls, thoughts, and intentions of all living beings around them, seeing how magic swirls around and through them and all other things in the world)
- Incorporeality (All Daemons are incorporeal)
- Possession (Capable of possessing Daemons and Mortals)
- Telepathy (Can speak directly into the minds of beings in reality)
- Durability Negation (With Chaos Manipulation and various other abilities)
- Poison Manipulation (Cable of creating Toxins that induce intense delirium or outright shutdown their bodies)
- Perception Manipulation (Slaanesh can force extra senses onto things much more complicated and incomprehensible then the ones they where born with[15])
- Psychic Powers (Given Slaanesh's status as a Chaos God, they should have all the abilities granted by Common Powers, Minor Powers, Biomancy, Divination, Pyromancy, Telekinesis, Telepathy, Daemonology, Theosophamy, Unaligned Powers, Exalted Powers, Dark Hereticus Discipline, Malefic Discipline, Sinistrum Discipline, Heretech Discipline, Ectomancy Disipline, Geomancy Discipline, Discipline of Slaanesh, and Minor Powers of Slaanesh)
All previous plus:
- Beyond-Dimensional Existence (Type 2; The Warp has no true Geography and is fundamentally structureless)
- Regeneration (Likely High-Godly; Their Avatars in the Warp would effectively already exist in a state of this level of erasure. Should easily be able to reform from Chaos erasure of the other Chaos Gods which works on this level[4])
- Acausality (Type 4, Possibly 5; The Realm of Chaos exists completely unbound from cause and effect. Exists outside the confines of traditional laws of physics[4]. For one to effect the Warp, it must be dealt with in terms of absolute actions[16])
- Law Manipulation (Can create 'rules' for their battlefields/domains[2])
- Enhanced Reality Warping (Reality is liquid and ever changing in the Realm of Chaos, where the Chaos Gods have infinite influence[1])
All previous to a much higher degree except for Immortality (Type 9) plus:
- Transduality (Type 3; The Ghostwind/Aethyric Void transcends all concepts, being a place where concepts from higher dimensions boil down into a universal abstract[17])
- Pocket Reality Manipulation (Can create their own personal realms which act as an extension of their Avatars[6])
- Avatar Creation (Able to send Avatars of themselves up and down the related layers of the warp[18])
Extreme Resistance to:
- Aethyr Manipulation
- Regeneration Negation (High-Godly; Should resist this level of erasure due to it's physiology. Is formed out of the Void beyond creation that erases all concepts, memories, space-time, Laws and Data. Unable to be destroyed by the other Chaos Gods, despite Chaos erasing all concepts, abstractions and all things in creation)
- Psychic Powers, Sealing, Matter Manipulation, Void Manipulation, Conceptual Manipulation & Dimensional Manipulation (Due to being an immensely powerful psychic entity, should be resistant to the abilities of every psyker in existence as psykers can resist the abilities of other psykers[19]. Should have resistances far above those of even their Greatest Daemons which are resistant to the effects of the warp)
Attack Potency: Varies; Moon level (When restricted by the Great Vortex in Fantasy, the avatars of the Chaos Gods could manifest on a similar level to their Exalted Greater Daemons. Nurgle formed a 'yawning mouth that could eat the world' and Khorne was able to assist his army in battle by attacking with his sword all the way from the Warp[18][Statistics Values 1]) up to Solar System level (In spaces close enough to the warp, should be able to grow to a size comparable to Bloodthirsters within the Eye of Terror[Statistics Values 2]), possibly Universe level+ (Depending on their proximity to the warp, should be able to continue to grow in size and power corresponding with how much of the universe they have corrupted, eventually breaking down the barriers of reality enough to absorb and destroy the entire universe by consuming it with the Warp[9]. Daemon Princes within the Eye of Terror can maintain their own personal Universes[20]). Outerverse level with Environmental Destruction (Chaos Corruption slowly erodes a related universes 'Skein' or 'Weave'[9]. The Skein was formed by the abstract forms of Chaos Gods to hold the rules of the Great Game they abide by, and the source of the concepts which their avatars embody. Without the skein limiting their power, a Chaos God may simply manifest their entire personal realm into the Materium[15])
Attack Potency: Outerverse level (The Realm of Chaos has no true Geography[1] and is fundamentally structureless[1], which also contains 3 layers[21], with each layer transcending the infinity of the previous[22]. The Chaos Gods can casually create and destroy their own personal realms[6]. While Slaanesh is the weakest in terms of power amongst his siblings, it's disarming charisma scares the other Chaos Gods due to seeing their own concepts of excess and desire represented within it[4]. Aethyric entities can ascend or descend the layers of the The Warp at will)
Attack Potency: Outerverse level (The Chaos Gods are just a projection/manifestation of their true and greater abstract form[14]. Existing a universal energy or as the[6] 'purest manifestation of Chaos'[23]. Likely formed in the void beyond both the warp and reality, which boils down into a universal abstract that is at once both everything and nothing[17])
Speed: Varies. Unknown up to possibly Massively FTL+ (Should scale to Bloodthirsters within the eye of terror) | Immeasurable Within the layers of the Warp. The Realm of Chaos itself is completely unbound from linear time. All moments being accessible at once. Omnipresent within their own realm | Omnipresent exists wherever the idea's he represents does within reality and the warp
Lifting Strength: Varies; Class T (Comparable to Archaon) up to Unknown | Immeasurable | Immeasurable
Striking Strength: Varies; Moon level, likely higher up to Solar System level, likely higher | Outerverse level | Outerverse level
Durability: Varies; Moon level (When restricted by by the Great Vortex in Fantasy, the avatars of the Chaos Gods could manifest on a similar level to their Exalted Greater Daemons), Solar System level possibly Universe level+ (Should be comparable to Bloodthirsters when in spaces like the Eye of Terror. Daemon Princes can maintain their own Universes within the Eye of Terror[20]) | Outerverse level (Constantly wars with the other Ruinous Powers in the Warp. Immortality, regeneration, and connection to it's fully abstract self make him difficult to harm in any meaningful capacity) | Outerverse level (Exists as a vortex of energy representing their related concept[6].The true Abstract form of the Chaos Gods can exist in the Aethyric Void[3] where they where formed, while still bound to it's brothers. Where the concept of 'Chaos Undivided' existing as 'loose unaligned magic' corrupts the Astromatrix in the Aethyric Void, which boils down into a universal abstract that is at once both everything and nothing[17])
Stamina: Infinite, Daemons in general don't tire. Able to form infinite amounts of Daemons created by separating his own essence to form another being.
Range: Outerversal (Even their lesser avatars still attack from the Warp, rending portals into reality through which they can attack[18]) | Outerversal | Outerversal
Standard Equipment: Unknown
Intelligence: Beyond mortal comprehension; doesn't have a mind in a conventional sense, is an abstract force/concept in the form of a God defined by the beliefs of humanity, with even this representation merely being a tiny facet of Chaos as a whole. Where Khorne has his might, Tzeentch has his power and Nurgle has his the all encompassing nature of decay, the greatest weapon of Slaanesh is it's lack of need for one. The Palace of pleasure at the center of it's Domain has no defenses whatsoever, for what can stand in the presence of perfection itself and not utterly devote themselves to it. Not a single soul has ventured to the Palace of Pleasure and returned to even describe it's appearance. Slaanesh's charisma frightens its siblings, despite it's comparitive weakness, for they all see themselves represented within the excess that is Slaanesh and it disgusts and intrigues them all the same.
Weaknesses: It's Avatars are bound to the structure of the Warp and reliant on the beliefs of humanity, the only way it can interact with reality past the Veil is by splitting it's essence into daemons or lesser avatars of themselves | Is basically a universal concept, acting through it's avatars. Held back by being in a constant battle for control with it's siblings. Just as likely to prevent it's inevitable victory at the last moment to instead battle one of it's siblings.
