Summary

The Ohkubo Verse is a universe from the works of Atsushi Ohkubo. Within this universe there are two stories connected dating back over a thousand years.

Fire Force is the story of a boy named Shinra Kusakabe and a world of unexplainable spontaneous human combustion. Spontaneous Human Combustion (人体発火現象, Jintai Hakka Genshō) was a worldwide phenomenon that appeared shortly after the first Great Cataclysm (大災害, Daisaigai), an event that happened two hundred and fifty years before Year 198. The incident involved flames exploding around the world, devastating it and leaving most parts of the planet uninhabitable. Continents were torn apart and some nations were utterly obliterated. As a result, survivors fled to the Tokyo Empire, which remained mostly stable during the period. After growing up, Shinra Kusakabe joins the Special Fire Force, a force of fire fighters who specialize in dealing with Spontaneous Human Combustion. Within the force, there are fire fighters like Kusakabe who have a special ability called Ignition Ability which is centered around pyrokinetics. People like Kusakabe gained their ignition ability after they adapted to Spontaneous Human Combustion, and instead of becoming an Infernal, they awakened the ability to manipulate and control existing flames. The force is in pursuit of uncovering the truth to what is causing Spontaneous Human Combustion.

The verse primarily has Town level Attack Potency and Durability, with Planet level Attack Potency and Durability for the strongest characters. Nataku Son has also shown a Multi-Continent level feat. The verse has speeds ranging from Massively Hypersonic to Relativistic to Speed of Light to FTL. And each character that has any notable feats belongs to the special kind of people that is either able to manipulate pre-existing flames (even into solid objects) or create flames from a -individual for each person- defined body part (that can also be used in order to enhance stats), each character that belongs to the group that creates their own fire (3th Generation in-story) is immune to fire and heat (they can still feel it but don't suffer burns). With equipment, wind, ice and lightning manipulation is also possible. The god tiers of the verse, i.e. Haumea and Shinra, even reach Low Multiverse level Attack Potency and Durability.

Eight hundred years ago, the world was protected by Eight Shinigami Legions, a group of dedicated guards to preserve the world order. Led by Death himself, the group faced a betrayal by Death's own eldest son, Asura, a man filled with fear. After disobeying Death and secretly having his demon weapon, Vajra, eat good souls, he became a kishin. After being defeated by his father, he was skinned alive, and sealed inside his own skin. Following this, the group disbanded and Death then founded Death Weapon Meister Academy (also by the acronym "DWMA") to act in its place. Students within the school, enrolled as either meisters (users of demon weapons) or demon weapons (humans who can transform into weapons), are educated and supervised at a young age to prevent the uprising of another kishin while upholding the responsibility of fighting against the forces of evil and the collection of souls of the deceased.

Overall, they have decent destructive and durability feats with the low to mid tiers ranging from Town level to Mountain level and high tiers reach Large Country level with at least High Hypersonic and Relativistic speeds. The verse's main power systems are magic and Soul Wavelength, the use of one's soul to generate sound wavelengths from one's soul to be used in various ways. Similar to Fire Force god tiers, Asura and Lord Death reach Low Multiversal level.
