Summary

Matthew Addison was an environmentalist trying to expose the Umbrella Corporation's illegal experimentation to the globe. While infiltrating the hive he was injured by an advanced Licker, infecting him with a unique strain of the T-virus. Afterward, Umbrella scientists captured him and augmented him with cybernetic enhancements, making him a bio-weapon.

As the creature known as the Nemesis, he was sent to Raccoon City to hunt down remaining STARS members and Alice Abernathy. After many skirmishes and altercations, during the final battle with Alice, he was able to gain control of himself and help them escape from the city before it fell victim to nuclear annihilation.
