Summary
Magical Mr. Mistoffelees is one of the Jellicle Cats, a fantastic magician-in-training who constantly amazes the other cats with his magical prowess. He uses his powers later in the musical in order to rescue Old Deuteronomy after he's been kidnapped by Macavity.
Meanwhile, the 2019 movie version of Mistoffelees is a shy, clumsy magician-in-training who lacks confidence in his abilities until he's called upon by Rum Tum Tugger and Victoria to rescue Old Deuteronomy, who was still kidnapped by Macavity after denying him the Jellicle Choice. He only gains confidence in his capabilities due to the cheering of his peers.
