“ | In the end, all my mother left me was this rosary seal. So that's why I want to protect this seal. Even if it costs me my freedom. | „ |
~ Moka Akashiya |
Summary
Moka Akashiya (Akashiya Moka, 赤夜 萌香) is a vampiress in Yōkai Academy and the main female protagonist of the series. She serves as the primary love interest to Tsukune Aono, who is the sole human enrolled in an academy of monsters. She has an enchanted rosary that gives her a split personality; her outer persona is gentle, compassionate, and seemingly weaker than average monsters. In contrast, the inner persona is a bold and domineering vampire lady; she is also a remarkably strong fighter, even among vampires.
It's eventually revealed that the inner character is Moka's original personality, with the outer one is a clone of Akasha Bloodriver, Moka's mother, but with her memories erased to protect her daughter and to conserve the magical seal on Alucard at the same time.
