McCabe: My mom used to make me go over to his house to play. She felt bad. But he would just spend the whole time staring out of his sister's bedroom window. I always remember thinking...the hell was he looking at out there?
Hawkins: He was looking at Haddonfield. Simple town where nothing exciting ever happens.
McCabe: Yeah. Then one day...he just snapped.
~ Pete McCabe recalling Michael Myers as a child

It is the essence of evil. The anchor that divides us. It is the terror that grows stronger when we try to hide. If they don't stop him tonight, maybe we'll find him tomorrow. Or next Halloween, when the sun sets and someone is alone. You can't close your eyes and pretend he isn't there. Because he is.
~ Laurie Strode

Hey Michael! It's Halloween. Everyone's entitled to one good scare.
~ Leigh Brackett

You are just a man, in a Halloween mask.
~ Corey Cunningham

Summary

At the young age of six, Michael Myers killed his elder sister Judith and was placed into an institution. Fifteen years later, Michael escapes and returns home on Halloween to stalk and kill a fresh set of victims, focusing his efforts on Laurie Strode. Referred to as "pure evil" by his psychiatrist Samuel Loomis, he silently, single-mindedly stalks his victims and brutally murders them without any restraint.

In this continuity, Michael was apprehended shortly after he escaped when shot off a balcony by Loomis. That Halloween night forever changed Laurie, prompting her to prepare herself and her daughter, Karen, who would distance herself from her mother as she raised her own family. The true motives and psyche of Michael Myers remained an enigma for decades. In October of 2018, Michael managed to escape his imprisonment and head directly for his hometown. After 40 years, Haddonfield would fear The Shape more than ever.

Broke down a closet door over time.[1] Easily overpowered a police officer[3]) | Wall level (Stronger than before. Comparable to Laurie, who could harm him.[2] Kicked down a police partition with minimal effort.[2] Broke a wooden banister by slamming Cameron’s head through it.[3] Twisted a metal door.[11] Dented the roof of an SUV.[12])

Speed: Peak Human, possibly higher (Frequently disappears from sight, eluding the senses of those around him.[1] Moved like a blur as he attacked Laurie.[13] Disarmed Allyson before she could fire her shotgun.[3] After getting his second wind, Michael easily outclassed a lynch mob in combat[3])

Lifting Strength: Peak Human (Easily lifted Bob off the ground with one arm and pinned him to a door with a knife.[1] Unearthed Judith Myers' tombstone,[1] with tombstones weighing between 120 and 1,000 pounds) | At least Class 1 (Stronger than before. Snapped a man’s arm with just one hand.[3] Lifted Laurie off the ground without any struggle.[2] Can snap[2] necks[3] without any effort.[9] Neck snapping is at this level. Lifted a firefighter in full gear off the ground and above his head height using a halligan bar with ease.[3])

Had no trouble escaping Laurie's home as it was burning[3], surviving after standing at the origin of the fire for some time[2])

Stamina: Peak Human (From the moment he escaped imprisonment, Michael displayed no signs of having rested as he travelled to Haddonfield, prepared for his killings, and began stalking down his victims.[1] Even after being stabbed and shot six times, immediately followed up by a two-storey fall, he continued to leisurely walk around Haddonfield[3]) | Superhuman (After being shot in the face, stabbed in the back, and consumed in the flames of a burning basement,[2] Michael escaped the residence and proceeded to take down a team of firefighters before continuing his massacre.[3] Kept fighting after being stabbed in the heart and side, only finally dying after having his arm broken and throat and wrist slit.[9])

Range: Standard Melee Range physically; Extended Melee Range with his kitchen knife

Standard Equipment: Kitchen Knife

  • Optional Equipment: Halligan Bar, Rope, Hammer, Gate Chain, Fire Poker, Fluorescent Light, Baseball Bat, Circular Saw

Intelligence: Above Average (Despite being institutionalized since childhood and exhibiting silent and simple-minded behavior, Michael displays a high level of intelligence overall. In 1978, Michael orchestrated his escape from Smith's Grove by triggering a mass breakout of prisoners from the transport bus. Prior to his murder spree, Michael had created escape plans, and also had ID’s of himself. He took notes on airplane schedules and acquired road maps to drive his way back to Haddonfield after he escaped, which was 150 miles away, despite him not having any notable prior driving lessons and learning them by observing how Loomis and other policemen drove him around from the backseat.[1] Plotted his Halloween night murder spree by stalking his victims, learning their whereabouts and gathering the necessary supplies to kill each of them with different tactics to lure them in. Usually sets up the corpses of his victims in a grotesque fashion so that others may find them, allowing him to kill them when they are in a panic. Has shown other instances of planning ahead, such as using a rake to jam the back door so Laurie couldn't easily escape and cutting the phone line so she couldn't call for help.[1] He also has a tendency to play dead once he's beaten down, allowing him to immediately retaliate when his victims lower their guard. Presumably caused the mass breakout during the 2018 events in order to steal a truck and drive back to Haddonfield where he carefully tracked and stalked Aaron and Dana in order to quietly kill them and retrieve his mask from their car. Furthermore, Michael has proven to be effective in combat. He managed outmatched Laurie in a one-on-one confrontation, the latter of which had taken 40 years of self-defence training in preparation for killing Myers.[2] Redirected a woman's hand using a vehicle door, causing her to shoot herself instead of Michael, with the latter only having a few seconds to act on this.[3] Managed to kill an entire lynch mob using only a kitchen knife after taking a beating, despite his opponents all utilizing weapons with greater range such as baseball bats and handguns. Located Corey to Laurie’s residence to retrieve his stolen mask.[9] Escaped after his 2018 murder spree, switching up his tracks, outsmarting the entire town of Haddonfield, and remained hidden despite investigation by Sheriff Scott, law enforcement, and the National Guard’s search of Michael, who could not turn up as much as a single clue, effectively outsmarting them[4])

Standard Tactics: Michael Myers is an emotionless, mute serial killer who feels no remorse when killing people or animals. This enables Michael to be a brutal killer and sometimes mutilates his victims. Michael usually uses a kitchen knife to carry out his murders, but he can also use other weapons he finds. Michael utilizes the element of surprise and his natural talent in stealth, stealthily approaching his target in deadly silence.

Weaknesses: Has lost three of his fingers and is blind in one eye, although these have not appeared to significantly impacted his combat efficiency. Without killing others or retaining a stable source of fear from others, Michael will be greatly weakened.[9] Infecting others with his evil does not necessarily mean they will not attack him, such as when Corey fought him.[9] Removing Michael's mask can act as an effective distraction which may cause him to stop attacking until putting it back on, a feat that those much weaker than him could accomplish[1][3]
