Resistance to:
Attack Potency: Low Multiverse level, possibly higher (A consistent rival of Sonic, which fought, matched and even overpowered Scourge. Was installed with a Power Gem, which is seemingly seen by Eggman as his most powerful energy source besides Chaos Emeralds, possibly making Power Gems superior to the Ore that powered Ultimate Annihilator, fought Shard competitively but ultimately ended their fight with self-destruction[1]), higher with Spin-Dash (When going for the kill, user of Spin-Dash can almost or fully one-shot an opponent that can take their or their peers' attacks), Self-Destruction (Fatally wounded Shard and Antoine) and Power Gem Amp (Using a power gem to increase his size allowed weakened Knuckles to harm Titan Metal Sonic and One-shot him after gaining powers back)
Speed: Infinite (Normally kept up with Sonic and friends) with higher Reactions (Latest models showed to be able to react to and counter Spin-Dashes of Shard and Sonic), higher with Spin-Dash (When user is serious, it allows the them to blitz an initially even opponent), Boost and V. The fifth, sixth, and seventh versions were voiceless, and the third model only served as a radio mouthpiece for Eggman. A voice codex was installed for Metal Sonic v3.7 and onwards along with a more developed personality, a Free will algorithm CPU and a single-minded desire to destroy Sonic. His pre-last interaction was installed with a Power Gem containing battle data of all previous models, retaining them after being rebuilt, after which he would clash with Sonic once again, matching him in skill. Can very quickly analyze his own history of fights and mistakes in order to adapt to combat situations, allowing him to overcome opponents with superior arsenal to his own, like Shard)
Weaknesses: Since they were built in order to counter Sonic, the Metal Sonic models are not always designed to take on opponents other than Sonic (This weakness was less present in the latest versions, which remained vulnerable after finishing the V. Maximum Overdrive Attack)

- Black Shield: Metal Sonic forms an indigo-colored octahedral energy field around him in order to protect himself from the opponents attacks.

- V. Maximum Overdrive Attack: Metal Sonic initially charges up a large amount of energy and envelops himself in a yellow energy sphere, then he shoots himself forward at incredible speeds with enough force to penetrate metal craters.
