Certainly. I think people are a bit to worried over the studio change. I think JC Staff will do an okay/good job. As for the redraw I'm pretty excited, although Chapter 93 seems to just be more build up.
True. Madhouse did a pretty excellent job. But I remember hearing the Raildex animes being pretty good, so I have faith.
Dunno how they're going to handle Orochi. After Goketsu nothing is really a sure thing. He could give her a awesome fight or be stomped in a anti-climatic fashion. Looking forward to it either way. Also curious what Nyan she possibly Drive Knight will do. Actually one of my original fan theroies was Watchdog Man vs Nyan before it was confirmed that he wasn't coming for redraw raid.
I'd love for Golden Sperm to curbstomp Orochi. All the heroes and monsters are shitting themselves. GS keeps bragging about how he's the ultimate monster, the true monster king, a God level threat and all that shit. Only to then get his ass whooped by Monster Garou, who uses this to cement himself as the actual ultimate monster.
GS should physically be the third strongest monster in the series. He was pretty tough even when holding back for the majority of his appearance. Orochi being worfed for GS wasn't something I considered though.
I don't think they'll do that to Orochi given some of the stuff Murata has said about him.
Sorta off-topic but should we keep Marugori as a Demon level threat or move him to Dragon considering the ONE interview about his Disaster level. Also I wonder if anyone has calced his one crater punch feat. Well they probably have, probably just wasn't anything above 7-B.
Besides that and general excitment about the next chapter's HA stuff, I recently found out that there's more to the Boros vs Garou statement ONE made. Most people battleboard wise know the first part of the quote
> ONE: Garou or Boros, who would win? Before, Boros was definitely the stronger one, but Garou is now a near-perfect monster. I don't really know. A good match . . . I do believe Garou is stronger in close combat where things like punches and kicks can generally be avoided.
But there's actually a second part that goes more into detail
> Even if you look at the portrait description, Boros will fight with overwhelming power, superior playback ability, energy attacks from a distance, while Garou will fight with excellent fighting ability (though I showed off and knocked down Saitama 's attack many times). I can not certainly say which is stronger.
So it seems going by ONE that Boros is more physically overwhelming while Garou has to rely only on skill to counter
Same interview also said this about Boros (though unlike the other it's from Geryuganshoop's PoV)
Well later on he says "I can not certainly say which is stronger". But either way even if Boros is physically stronger Garou has to be roughly comparable for there to even be a fight. If Garou wasn't on Boros's level to a certain degree Boros would do what Saitama did to him.
Boros is quite obviously a God Level threat. Even if the ONE doesn't want to directly call him one.
Vacating the Earth in 10 days would be a big understatement considering not only Boros's surface/planet busting attack, but also the fact that Boros is easily fast enough to circle around the planet in far less time.
Nah I trust you and I won't tell anyone. Actually on that I do wish that I could read Italian to help the one hero book guy. The most I really know about the book is the Boros page, that the meteor was composed of "dense metals" according to Genos, and that it says Atomic Samurai can cut atoms (though this is disproven by the webcomic).
So there's no English version of this book but there is an Italian one?
Yeah Atomic Samurai is weird since he always claims he can cut atoms yet in the webcomic said cell cutting is a godlike skill he wishes to possess. Maybe ONE forgot that cutting atoms is actually >>> cutting cells lol
> So there's no English version of this book but there is an Italian one?
Maybe a bigger market? Like how France is the largest manga consumer outside of Japan, so they translate large swath of stuff including spin-off material like guidebooks that other western companies don't/can't do. Or how Brazil is really into Saint Seiya. Actually I guess it could always be a translation of a translation. Like an Italian translation of a French translation. Like how that one weird Dragon Ball guidebook that sometimes pops up on revision threads is actually a translation of a French book (well some scans are).
> Maybe ONE forgot that cutting atoms is actually >>> cutting cells lol
He can cut atoms but not avoid them. Sub-Atomic slashes. /s
> Damn that's neat. I would've been absolutely certain America was the biggest consumer outside of Japan. Not France.
Yeah it surprised me as well when I first heard about it.
> Are you talking about the DB guidebook that people use to argue 500x SSJ multiplier?
Could be . It's the one that says that Frieza's death beams are lightspeed, a PL of 10,000 can planet bust, and says that manga Majin Buu can destroy galaxies
> King has conceptual slashes
On King, can't wait for his fight with the MA Cadre. One of the best parts in the webcomic. Actually on that fight, I wonder if instead of Tornado getting hurt via distraction/Psykos, she ends up harming herself taking out Orochi. Then the other Dragons pop out of the ground.
Wonder what the C-A class will do during the raid actually. I know they can probably deal with the Wolf and Tiger levels, but even a single Demon has the ability to wreck a large number of them. Maybe they're just their to further hype up the S-Class.
Dragons (10/Really 9 since she didn't know about Elder's death when she said that): Black Sperm, Elder Centipede, Evil Natural Water, Fuhrer Ugly, Gyoro-Gyoro, Gums, Nyan, Orochi, Overgrown Rover, and Homeless Emperor
Demons (13): Bug God, Devil Long Hair, Do-S, G5, Gale Wind (presumably), Hellfire Flame (presumably), Phoenix Man, Pureblood, Royal Ripper, Showerhead, Super Mouse, The Great Food Tub, Unihorn
So that means there's 6-7 Demon level threats that we don't know about. That also means at their peak they had at least 33 Demons and Dragons (22 known Demons and 11 Dragons) in the MA.
But damn that sounds interesting. Something tells me that they'll forget all about the C-A Classes and the remaining Demon, Tiger and Wolves once all the Demons and Dragons we know are defeated though.
My guess is that the remaining unknown Demons will be taken down by the S-Class in order to make the S-Class vs Dragons scene a lot more impactful. Like Fodder A Class < Demon < S-Class ≤ Dragon. Like a longer version of the Amai Mask/Zombieman fights.
Actually according to Murata I guess we won't see Goddess Glasses since her and the Hotrod Brother's designs don't technically belong to ONE or something. So Do-S and the Ninjas are just full on replacements.
Apparently he didn't come up with them originally. He was working for a organization called NEET and other artists there were the ones that came up with their designs. I'll try to find the exact quote from him, but that's why Do-S and the Ninjas are such a radical departure from the originals.
Murata: Gale, Hellfire and Goddess Glasses were design from other mangakas back when ONE was still working at NEET, that is the reason why they cannot be used in the redrawn version, and on top of that he added the ninja background to enrich the story line.
Best guess is that maybe the other artists own copyright on the desgins, so ONE can't use them without getting their or NEET's permission. Probably similar as to why the Archie Sonic comics needed to reboot to get rid of certain characters or how photographers own the rights to their photos even if it's of other people.
So looking over the manga guidebook, I never really noticed but it actually gives how long every fight Saitama has had has lasted. Well his fights from chapter 1-42~. Looks like Boros was his longest fight, and it lasted for 5 minutes and 20 seconds.
Most active OPM releated forum? Maybe, but I'm not the best source since that's really the only place I visit. But I'd guess the ComicVine/SpaceBattles section isn't as active as the Reddit site based on similar experiences. If you want more active or fast based discussions there's probably a Discord chat that's joinable.
EDIT: God I can't read sometimes. I'd guess 8~ AM, 12PM, and 2-5 PM are the most active points of Rediit and the Subreddit since people are usually free around those times.
Those sound pretty on point for AP and Durability right. And I wanna say he did damage
Angry Grandpa: hyaaa!
Mumen Rider: Justice Punch!
Angry Grandpa: Damn you! Go to hell you scum!
Mumen Rider: Justice Kick!
Angry Grandpa: Damn it, he’s tough!
Mumen Rider: killer move: Justice Crane High Kick!
Civilian: awesome! Mumen Rider beat him!
Angry Grandpa: tsk
The monster seemed to feel his attacks while he was just laughing at bullets. So Mumen should be hitting him with more energy. Presumably at least. Also maybe the reasoning for Garou should be changed to just "survived having his face slammed into concrete".
Assuming you're talking about their encounter in the third audio drama this is what happened
Kamikaze: Don’t give me that attitude just because Silver Fang likes you, you might catch a beating, kiddo
Sonic, mimicking Saitama: Huh? Just who do you think will be delivering that beating?
Kamikaze: What’s that? You want a pick a fight with me?
Sonic, mimicking Saitama: Oh excuse me, did I let it slip?
Sonic, mimicking Saitama: The way you said it, sounds like you think you’re stronger than me, old man.
Kamikaze: hmph, I don’t know where a B-Class hero could possibly get all that confidence…
Sonic draws first, but Kamikaze blocks
sound of swords clashing
Sonic: argh! That was fast! I didn’t even see him draw his sword! This guy, he’s no joke!
Kamikaze: You need a reality check. I’ve seen too many who gave up their lives so easily.
Sonic: tsk, you’re pretty fast with a sword, but if I get serious, no sword slashes in the world can catch me…
Tatsumaki: Wait a minute! Why on earth is the B-Class baldy here?!
Sonic attacks, Samurai draws his sword faster than he can see and blocks, but Sonic feels that he could avoid it if he got serious (although considering its Sonic the statement is shaky). It is pretty weird since Sonic implies that he can dial up his reactions or something.
The most that would happen is that Sonic, Genos, and people who scale their speed to them cannot precive the Atomic Slash. If that's enough to warrent a downgrade I wouldn't know by how much.
Bang might stay since Atomic Samurai considers Bang to be on par with him. Flashy was the only person whose speed AG was impressed by. Tatsumaki has a MHS+ feat on her own. Etc. There would be a fair share of downgrades though.
So Tornado, Flashy Flash, Awakened Garou, Silverfang, and presumably certain Dragon levels would stay at MHS+ (possibly better in Flash's case). Otherwise I think the next best speed feat is Sonic breaking the sound barrier or Garou deflecting Death Gatling's ultimate move. Guess we'll just have to see if later Manga chapters echo what Sonic said.
Oh right that actually already exists . Just not advertised and doesn't get a ton of attention. But it would be nice if those moved. Gets annoying to see another Mizuki or Blizzard Rule 34 pic every day.
> Maybe also a sub just for shitty Blast theories.
/r/Blastconspiracy/ tbh. Wouldn't mind seeing more Organization theories though
I think they're probably gonna be the focus after the Neo Heroes or be a joint problem with them. Plus an army of robots/cyborgs sounds pretty interesting. Maybe we'll see Metal Knight make a Mecha-Boros as well, but that's one of the more far fetched options.
Actually in a (now deleted) translation of chapter 85 I think Narinki mentioned that his mercenaries were equip with armor made from the Organization. If that's the proper translation then that shows they have ties with the rich and powerful.
Pretty good. Saw Isle of Dogs with my family recently, updated some of my MCU Reddit RTs with Infinity War feats, and I finished watching the first Rocky movie. Now I'm just waiting for the next OPM chapter (also according to stream comments the chapter 95 is supposed to be 200-250 pages long).
If no one has reserved the character and if the character doesn't have a RT already or if the user that made the RT has deleted their account you can make it without reserving. But if there's already a RT about the character and the user who posted it is still around, you have to get their permission to redo it which would require reserving.
As an example: "Reserving: Saitama, Genre: Manga, Series: One Punch Man. I got permission to redo the RT from the original user."
In terms of Who Would Win, S-Tier stands for Stellar tier iirc. Basically means anyone from like, moon/planet level to solar system level. Its a pretty old term though and the people who made it don't really like to use it anymore besides a general classification.
Oh yeah I love the artist who makes those DBS memes.
Yeah it's cool how Murata managed to make this "fast barrage of attacks" somehow look faster than the countless other fast barrage of attacks throughout the series. Like Flashy going at it just looks faster than when say Puri or Metal Bat rappidly attacking even though in all these cases the attacks where just a bunch of blurry lines
I was thinking the exact same thing lol. I don't think any other fighters in the series have made an effect like that before, though I could be wrong.
Also I think this chapter safely confirmed that Flashy's at least Top 5 S-Class. I mean the only other S-Classes who I'd say are capable of taking on 2 Dragons at once (or at least they have rather sufficient evidence they could instead of just hype) would be Blast, Tatsu, Bang and Darkshine.
I get Flashy's fight being long and expanded, since this is replacing his Demon fight in the Webcomic along with giving him a Dragon fight. I don't get that for anyone else really. So I hope CE vs PM doesn't extend into a 20+ page thing.
Also tbh I kinda want the manga to just catch up already. I don't mind some additional elements being added and new fights of course but I do want the overall OPM timeline to actually start to progress.
That's one of the main problems with the redraw. The fight scenes and big panels are cool, but they grind progression to a hault. The last chapter was just a 90+ page fight scene that didn't really accomplish much.
Same here. But everything is going to get dragged out. Homeless Emperor stuff. Fuhrer Ugly vs Sweet Mask. The inevitable Orochi vs Tatsumaki fight. Darkshine vs Garou. Golden Sperm. Psychic Sisters arc. This will be a very very long ride.
On the plus side "God" and the updated Neo-Hero stuff should be cool.
I still hold that the OPM world is monotheistic and that "Mother Nature", "God", the thing that changed Psykos, and the force that's causing all the monsters to rise are the same weird being Homeless Emperor saw.
I also had a theory that the "Mother Nature" that gave Vaccine Man his powers is the same "God" that gave Homeless Emperor his powers. Especially given that both monsters have the goal of eradicating humanity mandated by these forces, and Murata said that the energy blasts they make are the same.
Interested in your opinion. Where do you believe the D&D verse high tiers belong? As in, those that scale above Earthquake (Low 7-C). I'm of the belief they should be left at "At least Low 7-C, possibly much higher" based on their ability to reach much higher tiers of strength.
Since you seem knowledgeable, what do you believe?
To be clear, Ao hasn't shown up since then, not canonically at least (DMs can choose to say he has, obviously, but that's different).
And again, to be clear, I am 100% aware of the reasons for ratings for the D&D verse. I've looked through everything. I think you misunderstand me on that point.
The primordials thing you may be correct about, but yeah. Lolth isn't a primordial though.
I can recalculate Asgorath;s size, but godly avatars would still scale to the Night Serpent swallowing the sun.
I know the demon lords are vastly inferior to the gods. I'm not too worried about that, I already know that. At most, they're 2-C (and that's the more powerful ones). The exception was, briefly, Orcus, with the Last Word (which could insta-kill gods).
I will have to go through the process of compiling all abilities characters would be resistant to then.
D&D-verse will literally have the most resistances by the end of the week.
Though, in your opinion, what should we consider resistance? Like even a 1 Will save bonus means they have some chance to resist, right?
The way we could do it is set up a blog with all default D&D resistances and separate it into Types, like... characters like Kobold will have a very minor resistance, while Beholders will have major resistance, and gods would have an unfathomably high resistance.
The speed of the shells have to be reduced to what’s in my Repost Calc. Which is like 690,000+ m/s. Also technically reacting to the shells is only a Supersonic Perception feat since they begin over 1.6 kilometers away.
Besides that it looks pretty good. TTM and Darkshine have lifting strength calcs in their profiles for the strength section and in the current OPM AP thread there’s a lifting feat for Bang.
